Btw - Grabouw is under a hour's drive from Cape Town.

I am so happy that I did the TruCape 50km race this past weekend so that I could finally see the beauty of the grabouw region. It really is 1 of the most beautiful mtb races around the WC.

I am having the same issue with the carbofuel lately so now i just chuck in the blender and 10 secs later its fully dissolved

The new and improved CarboFuel works like a charm for me in most 3 - 4 hour races. I mix 1 & a half scoops per 750ml of water and the taste is just right for me and no cramps or drop in performance. I ride with 2 bottles per race and 3 Cadence gels which kicks like Bruce Lee How do the other guys mix it?

@ Juddy - I usually buy my Cadence products at either Chris Willemse cycles in Willowbridge or Greenpoint. Giant Durbanville opened up not to long ago in Wellington str and they also stock Cadence products and then City cycles in Canal Walk as well. Not to clued up on Southern suburbs stores and availability.

Hi Jeroen Any plans of Cadence bringing out some fizzy electrolyte tabs in the near future? That is the only cadence product missing from my artillery at the moment

That is real awesome news and I will def consider buying single serving sachets for those very few marathon races.

CWC def stocks the Marathon and the gels but its not listed on their website. I am pretty sure that you could contact them via email to purchase it and they will arrange postage for you. They have quite a big section in store for all the supps and not even half of it is listed online. Contact the tygervalley/willowbridge branch.

If you want a real caffeine kick take the cadence energy gels like I mentioned earlier it really kicked me into Contador mode during yesterdays race

I swithced from 32GI to the Cadence carbofuel and its works much better for ME and its cheaper as well

I have been using the new and improved Carbofuel and I am def enjoying it even more as its less sweet with the same benefits. I used the Cadence gels for the 1st time y-day in the Bouckaert - Soenen 126km race and I could def feel a kick in perform as soon as I took it. I was even pulling the F/G pack for a while just after taking a gel I have used the High5 caffeine & no caffeine gels before as well as the GU gels but I could def feel a difference after I used the Cadence gels I will now stick to only cadence products pre race, race and recovery

I have been using and Cadence carbofuel for about 6 months now and I switched from 1st using 32GI race then moved to Biogen blah blah and I wasnt happy with both of them then I tried out the carbofuel and it worked from my 1st ride. I can def feel a difference on race day with sustained energy and no cramps at all. I am just finishing my tub of Evox recovery (yuck flavour) then I will be switching to the Cadence revive. I now swear by Cadence products and i have slowly got all my buddies to switch to Cadence products. I buy mine from Chris willemse cycles
