I'm doing the Cederburg Ride the Rock in February. They tell you to buy a telkom card to phone home, as there is no signal in that area at all!! Not that I mind, Peace and quiet!!

Why is everyone so obsessed with Froome. He is NOT SOUTH AFRICAN!!! He was born in Kenya, Africa, so it does not make him South African. And yes he spent his childhood here, Who cares, he is a Kenyan Pom now...!!!!!! (So anyone born in africa are now South Africans if he does well in a sport... Common) The Only South African at the Tour Is "IMPEY" look at the flag next to his name! We will see in a few months time like all the other greats, if he is on something, it will come out... And then all the SA Froome supporters will probably then say "I knew it"!!!!

I had the opposite. My XT lever jammed and would not release. Took it to my local LBS, and asked them to sort it out. I didn't buy the bike from them. They sent it away, and a week ltr, Shimano sent me a brand new lever...!!

Ok so I haven't owned a Road bike since about 1995. Just been doing MTB. Other day CWC had an auction on a frame and fork and I decided to bid and build up a toy. I won the auction and got my frame and luckily a fork aswell. R925 Marcello Mach 4. I went for a ride this morning in Vereeniging at 7am. it was 1.5 when i left and dropped to -2 near Meyerton. Its only cold for about 10km, then its fine. The race starts late so it will be fine LADIES!!! This week has gotten slighlty colder, but I still rode in shorts and no leg warmers.!!! H T F U !!!

Guys, How does one attach a pic on this forum, most of the times I must upload my stuff to photobucket and then copy the img file to the forum! I have a My Media folder but its empty, and i am maybe a dumbass, but i cant place anything in there!

I at least got an entry to the Isuzu Ride the Rock in Cederberg next Feb. I have to start somewhere, even if it is 1000+km from me. Evans and Mcdonald have won it before, so can't be such a bad race. I'll keep trying the others, but if it go's like it has, I probably will never ride Joberg/Sani/Epic
