Im no Rocket Scientist... If you new take the easier route... Ride to your abillity and enjoy the beer afterwards. And if your buddies say u r a Pussy, so be it, next time you might just do the long one. I rather enjoy the day... And if i took the long route and Fell, and Kaked myself, I am definately not gonna come and cry on the HUB that the route was hard. In every sport there are injuries, even the Pros get it wrong, they don't go to the UCI and bitch.. Its a sport, if you cant handle it, dont do it... Its bad when someone gets hurt badly, but thats not the fault of the race organisers, Its the rider who enters and decides what route to ride... I will be there this weekend again, and have a ball out there, and enjoy the family time afterwards...

Please give that guys number. My garmin Edge 500 has been back 4 times since October 2012. Charges full and is flat within 30min, Switches off and on as it pleases. Doesnt record.... Need i carry on!? They even gave me a Garmin 405cx (Discontinued) with a broken strap as a loan unit. worked fine, but they said i must buy the usb wireless connect goodie for R700 to download my rides... Yeah Right... Id rather use a Sun Dial and calender to track my rides. Ive never expected a new device, just fix my damn cpu!!!!!

Guys, this is gonna go on till the day we die... (and hopefully not by been run over by a car). It's Africa and the way cars and bikes work here, is never gonna be like in EU countries, no matter what they do. I just ride on my side of the road and ignore all idiots that HOOT. How much do downhill guys earn? Always hear of the Pro road riders salaries. Not endorsements etc. What does the average Pro DH guy earn!? I think it depends on the team you on and your DH status, but no idea of $$$$$ I personally would love to be part of Santa Cruz Syndicate.... Just looks like the team to be on!!!

Training aint the problem. Getting the go ahead 4-6 weeks before the start is.... Me and the wife work and arent that lucky to just do what we want.... So i have to work around here schedule and my 6 yr olds aswell.... MAYBE ONE DAY!!!

No offence here. If I entered the race, or was on the waiting list, i would have my entry fees sorted. I been trying for 3 years now. Nothing. No epic, no Sani, No Joberg2c.... I took all my cash and started entering the other stage races. and I got cash to do the Epic...... But. I wanna do it with who I want to, not a person I've never met before... Next year I will try again and all the others... ** IF YOU ENTER A RACE - HAVE THE ENTRY FEE READY BEFORE YOU ENTER - Other People are been left out who really can pay upfront!!!!** Worry about sponsors and crap afterwards!!!

Because i don't have a road bike, and there are not always dirt roads close by...!!!

I did 95km on my MTB last monday, all tar with a roadie buddy. I did it in 3:20 with a halfway stop. So on a road bike just over 3 hrs for a average guy is on. The same distance on single track, etc is a different story, speed gos way down, only time u can really push pace is on district road, otherwise its u on ur own on the single tracks with no help or drafting... Good luck, Keep us updated O Es, if u are ranked in the top 25 in the Kia rankings, then maybe it is on!!!!
