  1. They seem heavy for carbon rims. My Rovals were cheaper and lighter, and dont have so many logos and names on them. That said, these rims seem great. Would not mind owning a set.
  2. Brilliant.
  3. Also thought of that, pretty silly idea from them.
  4. That is hideous. Looks like a Makro/Game bike at first glance,
  5. Absolutely loved every moment. Rossberg and Lewis both drove absolutely shocking races. Poor driving from both of them. Happy for Kvyat, what a result, Alonso 5th, Verstappen 4th. We need more races like this.
  6. Stunning bikes. I am in the market for a new road bike. Now my question is, where do I go in Cape Town to go look at a big variety of BMC bikes, not pictures. This is why I am 99 percent sure I am going to end up with another Spez Roubaix. Go to a big dealer, look at all the pretty colours, ride around the block, and buy it.
  7. So maybe give us some XO1 groupsets on sale. .
  8. I dont have words. I know it is a Enduro. But I have never seen that. I have the 2015 Stumpy Expert in that colour scheme. That is toooo sexy.
  9. How dare he speak of our Stumpys like that.
  10. Pity that the price isnt also small. Damn thats expensive.
  11. I really like it. Instead of using a bakkie to shuttle me up the mountain I can use this bike. And have multiple downhill runs, instead of 4 or 5.
  12. No no, that turquoise. Not for me. Yucky.
  13. That blue Reign is stunning.
  14. They are different, but I suppose they have the same target market? I really love the Enduro, the way it looks, and rides, but I always feel that it is too much bike for me. Having never ridden a Reign, I suppose I would still have the same question. Is a well sorted Trance not enough? I am very interested to see what Spez are going to do with the 2016 Enduro, because the new Stumpy is very very close in terms of travel and geometery to the current 2015 Enduro. That Reign is fricken good looking, and the Price is very appealing, a Carbon Enduro is R70 000, with slightly better specs, but still big money. That green is sooo nice.
  15. Great review there Mr Mayhew, absolutely superb. But, and I know its not Friday yet, is it better than the Spez/ Spaz enduro .
  16. Rather have the new Venge hey.
  17. F1 is really at a all time low. After watching Le Mans last week, this race was a utter borefest. Really not bothered anymore.
  18. Newlands was half empty. People in the Cape are tired of Stormers/WP rugby. Shocking team selections, stooooopid stadium prices. Stunning players overlooked by WP coaches. Pollard etc etc. Lekka verloor Prooooovince. Really enjoyed the game.
  19. Ja. Price. Was going to buy the normal hero. But I like the idea of using it as a normal camera.
  20. I actually think it would make more sense to spec the bike with a sid instead of the rs1. I am yet to meet someone who like the rs1.
  21. The world cup actually has the normal SID fork. Its about a 100k, depending on how much your lbs loves you. Normal Epic is R130k, but anyone qualifies for 10 percent discount. I know guys who have bought new for just over a 100k. Most of our local guys are riding the world cup versions, the rs1 is not favoured at this stage. All big big bucks. Our Rand really is worth absolutely squat.
  22. Are they going to be offered as frame only options? A expert world cup Epic is R65k, x01, sid, carbon rims etc. So a little cheaper than the Pyga. Also a Expert Stumpjumper is R67 500, with xtr, Pike, brain and carbon rims. So also cheaper than the max. Also, the XO1 bikes are specced with x1 cranks and shifters, so not really full xo1. But hey, great looking machine. Cant wait to ride it.
  23. Good to know. No really, glad it is a alternative to the Epic.
