  1. I have to agree. How many other people ride a race is irrelevant to me. I want an enjoyable safe route. Bonus points for road closers.
  2. Hi Guys. I'm looking for a lift to the race, so that my girlfriend can use my car on the day. I live in Jackal Creak, Honeydew. I'm happy to pay for your fuel costs if you can take me. Change in plan. GF is coming with me to the race, and we going to her thing afterwards.
  3. See this post and the following post: https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/167756-tshwane-classic/?p=3385617

  5. I think you have a misunderstanding of who they test. 947 has a much broader set of people who enter than a race like the epic. The guy that came second last in the epic and got tested is probably be riding in the A group in 947. This is odd that he got tested, but it was probably initiated by a tip off. Trust me, Tannie Marie riding a 7 hr 947 is not going to get tested.
  6. Mike Woolnough has some new blog posts I'm sure those here will find interesting: http://mikewoolnough.blogspot.com/2018/10/what-are-your-time-goals-for-munga-2018.html http://mikewoolnough.blogspot.com/2018/10/munga-crunching-numbers.html
  7. Wow - Imagine if people said that about your friends Brandon and Max...
  8. I thought about it, but no. My goals: 2019 - 1000 Miller, 2020 - TCR - Once I've done that, I might come back to Munga. I think Munga needs a full suspension MTB, which I don't have. I will be dot watching.
  9. Do you expect the route to be different to previous years?
  10. Most likely a tip-off.
  11. I also picked up a number of spelling and grammer mistakes in MK's report, and english is not my strong point!
  12. Why is ABP bull****? There is solid science behind it. Are you calming that science is wrong. If so, how?
  13. http://www.drugfreesport.org.za/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/SAIDS-v-Max-Knox.pdf It seems I got the numbers wrong when I typed it out. Should be 6.4.17 and 6.4.18.
  14. I think we need to remind all on the proper use of comic sans on thehub.
  15. He was making a joke - 3:48 for Argust is a *** time for a rider of his level.
  16. .
  17. Lots of interesting details in the hearing report. Here is one that is inconsequential, but funny:
  18. No www.drugfreesport.org.za/.../SAIDS-v-Max-Knox.pdf
  19. Surely these races that don't want to be CSA sanctioned, can still follow SAIDS/WADA rules, invite SAIDS to do in compition tests, and not allow athletes with sanctions to compete.
  20. I think I should screen scrap the SADIS list, and publish it so that when names drop off, we still have a record.

  22. Testosterone is an anabolic steroid Gen. (I agree with the gist of what you are saying. Sorry to nit peck.)
  23. FISA (international rowing body) also had a rule that you got a life time ban for your first offence. They have since reduced this to fall inline with WADA rules.
  24. Again you have oversimplified a complicated system by focusing on only one area of it. Yes I read "The Secret Race". Did you miss the bit about all the trips to dirty doctors, private jets to get to labs to safely extract blood, experiments with sRBCs, and the most disgusting: the backroom politics to get positive test squashed?
  25. It's not just about getting hold of the epo. Unless you want to die in your sleep, you need the equipment for doing hematocrit tests, and the knowledge on how to do the test, or a doctor to do it for you.
