That all depends on how fast you go.... The elites will finish in about 2:30. The slowest riders about 6:00. I guess the mean is about 3:40.

3 broken spokes on the last 2 rides, so I need a wheel rebuilt. I am of the understanding that the skill of the wheel builder has a big effect on the strength of the finished wheel. The section on convoys from the NATIONAL ROAD TRAFFIC ACT 93 OF 1996 with all the up to date amendments: The act is very clear on which part of it applies to "motor vehicles", "pedal cycles" and all "vehicles". As you can see, this section only applies to motor vehicles. From the definitions: So 1 motor vehicle, and 100 bicycles operated in a group does, by the acts definition, not make a convoy of motor vehicles.

That's a bit harsh, and a personal attack. Lets just leave it at wrong.

No verge, blind corner. Even if they were single file, it would be very dangerous for a motor vehicle to over take here. If there is an oncomming car around the corner, they will have to pull in, and force the bikes of the road. You know why I hate some motorists: they are so dam impatient, and think they own the road.

Indeed, I have met a number of Complete Cyclist riders, some from thehub, and I think highly of all of them. And I've had good service from the shop. But what about the van driver?
