  1. Thanks for the help guys!
  2. I currently have Avid Elixir 1 brakes on my bike, 180 front 160 rear. If I want to change the brakes to Shimano SLX or XT, can I keep the rotors and just change the lever and calipers? How difficult is it? Will the Shimano brake levers fit easily with the Sram shifters? Its on a Trek Superfly DS
  3. Momsen for sure. Owned one, sold to my best mate, and he is still pushing it hard!
  4. The Spark 940 is an awesome bike, and will last forever. Make sure that you really do want to spend that kind of money on a dual suspension bike and stay commited to this fun sport.
  5. My KMC chain on my new Trek bike lasted just over 1000km with regular cleaning and lubing, which I found was little. It disintegrated into about 5 pieces on a ride, not fun. Got a new KMC Gold, lets see how long this lasts. Luckily no damage.
  6. Worked perfect thanks!
  7. My chain broke into lots of pieces so I can't count how many links it was. I have a new one how do I determine the correct amount of links? It's a sram x7 3x10 system on a trek Superfly soft tail.
  8. Silverback all the way.
  9. Digital and I do Mountain Bike Action from the US, R73 for 12 issues, awesome read. Car also digital, and I dont buy print at all. Only print I have is SnS, but I get that for free with coffee when I visit!
  10. Brilliant!!! What's the route profile like? How many km's in total?
  11. Excuse my butting in, but what are the differences between the 3 different rides? Trail, adventure, race? Want to enter for 2015 when it opens.
  12. You can collect at the venue if you want to queue...
  13. I have a Trek Superly that has a Reba RL29 fork. I'd like to add remote lockout to it, is it possible? Don't really want to replace as it is the stock G2 geometry fork?
  14. I really hope they dont include the bottom of the yellow section, that place is insanely muddy up till now and the rains in the area are still a daily occurence.
  15. I also think it will be slow due to lack of passing spots. I really wonder what route they will use.
  16. Went riding there yesterday, insanely muddy and very narrow, wonder what route they will be using?

  18. Just received it from them.
  19. Never use a high pressure hose. I hose the mud off with normal pressure hosepipe, then clean the bike with a sponge with either clean green or muck off, then attack all the moving parts with a paintbrush and pure clean green. Bike as good as new already, all relubed as well.
  20. Sheesh the photos are pricey?
