  1. My mate rides a very similar Merida, he weighs 105 and loves the bike!
  2. Awesome race, nice and technical. Hot as hell
  3. 30km race starts at 8:30 in four batches 5 min apart. Gonna be a warm one me thinks. Anyone care to invent airconditioned cycling shorts?

  6. Second that. Some great value bikes there, although not much in the 650b size...
  7. U can do cajees, just don't do any setup or servicing there.
  8. Plenty specials from Momsen as well.
  9. Finally some nice shoes!
  10. Thanks. Fitting would probably be around R150 and shipping is R80, so the diff is about R300. Oh, and I prefer dealing with a store rather than online...
  11. The X9 is 1100 on buycycle, plus shipping and fitting. The X7 is 1000 fitted from Northcliff cycles. Both type 2
  12. Thanks guys. Have never dropped a chain yet, use mainly the big and middle gears, have only used the granny once. so the X7 type 2 is a no go rather go to the x9?
  13. I have a Trek Superfly 100AL, which uses a SRAM X7 3x10 groupset. What would the advantage be to upgrade the rear derailleur to a type 2 model with the built in clutch? It uses the normal X7 rear, but finally they have launched the type 2 X7.
  14. Wow never saw it, awesome work guys!
  15. Did the Hurlyvale race there on the 12th, was awesome. Not enough marshalls and people were taking shortcuts galore. Lots of uphill, not bad, but the terrible wind made it difficult. The technical section by the river is a bit scary.
  16. No clue? Was a toughie
  17. Should be and the venue is awesome. Wonder where the start is?
  18. Looks like a goodie, who is going?

  20. Went for the first time today, very cool. Did the blue loop, only gave me 20km. Will go and do the red next time.
  21. I also phoned the contact number just voicemail and no call back. Not very professional, hope the race is good.
  22. Just bought a Trek Superfly 100 AL, got a real bargain! Tubeless conversion with Maxxis Crossmarks, upgraded grips, full Ergofit setup, all for R19500! Picking her up on Friday, traded up from a 2013 Momsen AL329.
  23. What's the terrain and the elevation like?
  24. Phew, at least. I thought I was going alone!
