  5. I don't have this problem. I am quite happy with my bikes. They fulfill their means and are definitely better equipped than a bike has to be for my riding ability. It's not the bike that makes you faster but your own ability. Too much money is being wasted on unnecessary upgrades and bling. My opinion...
  6. geez man, you have issues!
  7. when using disc hubs the part where the spokes are connected to the hub is less wide than with no-disc hubs. consequently the spokes, at least on this one side, run towards the rim in a slightly narrower (or steeper) angle. what are the consequences? does this make those wheels less strong, or doesn't it really matter? what do wheel builders have to take into consideration? remembering that on the backwheel, chaindrive side, the spokes reach the rim in a steeper angle and therefore have to tightened harder. anyone in the know?
  8. yes, and soldered spokes make your wheels stronger

  19. used bike boxes are perfectly fine to transport your valued bike in. I dunno where you get your info from but I ahve used many used bike boxes to transport my bikes it. they have all been without holes. all you need to do is take the metal clippings at the top out that were used to close the box and you are done. the boxes the bike stores get their bikes in are usually undamaged. if it's badly damaged you take a different one of course.
