  1. The plan is to ride the Delta park lines and go up to Emmarentia if time allows and practice on the features, corners and single track. If anyone has anything specific on those sections that they want to work on we will look at it and I will be giving individual advice based on your skill level for your progression.

  7. I just got back from a trip to EU, although we flew with Qatar. The same rules apply with the 2x23kg bags. However with DH bikes and bike bags it is impossible to stick to that. Bike bags were 28kg luggage bag was 18kg Hand luggage was 7kg As long as the max weight of the bike bag is below 30kg and the combined weight is within your allowable 46kg you should be fine, although I have heard of people complaining about Emirates recently.
  8. Their frame only paintwork is HOT
  9. One of my new toys. I might be bias but really enjoying the ride on the new Trance. Definitely feels like it has more travel than 115mm at the back but pedals very well, minimal bob if any. I have been using it for a bit of distance and have not been holding back on the fun stuff
  10. This makes me want to go back to the Alps
  11. You just cant get enough of the alps, little video of a 10 year old I rode with this year.

  16. I think the trail builders and world cups should start putting more tight switchbacks in, farmgates on springs don't corner well. 150mm 29er already makes all the grass tufts smooth, for those worried, more travel than that is just silly on a 29er. Warm up for Friday

  21. Front Wheel Lifts Perfecting the technique of the front wheel lift saves a lot of energy and makes your riding smoother. You'll use this to get your front wheel onto or over something. This is also the start of a Bunny Hop and Manual Hope Technology Ltd / WTB / Leatt Protectives
  22. These look super long and super slack, would be interested to know how they feel.
  23. Flat Pedal Foot Position. It might not seem like something important but it has a huge effect on your riding and control of the bike. Correct position- Ball of your foot is positioned slightly in front of the axle of the pedal. Position pros- Stable footing, less chance of slipping off.- Active calf, keeps your full range of motion in your heal and calf muscle which is hugely important in working the bike and riding smooth, this also helps keep contact with the pedal. Why flats- They help you push your limits and try new things because you know you can put your foot down easier.- You learn the correct techniques for a lot of skills (bunny hop, jumping, drops)- Flat pedals force you to pedal properly, which then translates to proper pedal and bike handling techniques when clipped in. I feel all riders should ride with flats every now and then to improve their general bike skills.
  24. One Finger Braking & Hold the end of your bars. All brakes these days should be strong enough to only have to use one finger, if they are not, rather increase your rotor size (ie 160 - 180mm) instead of using two fingers. This will give you much better grip on the bars and better control of your braking. Hold the end of your bars, Having your bars stick past the outside of your hand is the best way to catch them on things, if you are not using the full width then rather cut the ends off.
  25. While i'm recovering I though I would share some common mistakes I have noticed. Week 1 we have. Hold Your Bars.... This may seem like common knowledge to most people but I have had several students who didn't even know they were doing it. If you ever feel like you have a weak grip or lack control just check where your thumbs are positioned.
