Cyclists are people, people do stupid things, Its just a pity this bunch of people happened to be cyclists at the time. A lot of other people would have done similar if not worse. A similar thing happened in JHB South a couple of years ago, not sure what happened with those guys, but they didn't get caught on video so it wasn't as entertaining for the world to watch and spread around.

So there was a traffic light and he did overtake the cyclist earlier on. Meaning the double parked story is complete nonsense and the person who took the video has only seen half the story, waiting to hear what happened when he overtook! Also were words exchanged before he was 'assaulted'?

No, the biker got off and pointed a gun at the driver first and struck him over the head, the driver then shot him in self defense....... I am not trolling, I am simply voicing my opinion. Don't judge until all the facts are known. many of you might have reacted in a similar way if you were in the same situation.

No, that's called destructive. Violence is to another living organism. I think Amanda's point (which she didn't really get across) was that cyclists are already frustrated and this frustration is mostly caused by taxi's. This little incident seems to have pushed this bunch over the edge. Seeing as you all think I support their actions. I do not condone mob mentality and violence in that regard, but, I do think that in some situations a hiding is needed, If we had a justice system that worked my view would change as these offenders would be dealt with.

Someone who actually tries to do something about the situation and not just jumps on the bandwagon and wants to hang the guys. no one knows what really happened. Yes it got violent but compared to other violence it really wasn't that bad, (No i do not condone it) I am sure ALL of you have got really angry at motorist or anyone for that matter. When you are in a mob and things start to happen its all too easy to join in. Lets just wait to hear the story from more sides, not just the victim and a motorist who by the sounds of things was already negative towards cyclists. Is every motor biker seen as a vigilante after that other guy got shot?

If they had killed the guy then that would be a bit much, but a punch up and some pepper spray is harsh but might have been what was needed to teach a lesson.
