    Jester, from the sounds of it I would suggest you look at a 26" or 27.5" (there really isn't much difference) 120-150mm travel, I ride 120 back 150 front, Enough to play around with but not too much so you can't peddle.

    the main line is muddy but rideable, actually quite fun, the other lines are horrible in this mud

    Ok do it, but then you have to run single crown and you can teach me how to ride. Got the OK from the doc today, he said I can throw myself down more mountains but he doesn't wanna see me again

    That is correct, if you are on a hospital plan you HAVE TO be admitted of medical aid wont pay a cent. Private. My total bill was 27k, only 2.5k not covered by MA but I have GAP cover so they should cover that. Surgeon was pretty much all covered by MA, Anaesth was pretty much 200% of MA rate. So really not too bad, but they just charge for random stuff. But at the end of the day they did a really good job and its the first time I haven't chucked my first meal after going under, So i'm just happy it will all be covered at the end of the day. I would and probably will land up going back to them. Can MA refuse to cover you if you keep on breaking yourself?

    So I got my outstanding bills from my most recent break after medical aid had paid their share. What are we really paying for? The Surgeon wasn't bad, only slightly over medical aid rates. But the Anaesthetist, WTF Consultation and assessment charges are for the 5 min he talks to you before theater. On top of paying for his time at R34.67 per minute I then have to pay him for the operation and for the skeletal modifier which he has nothing to do with. When I called to query all we got was "this is what the medical board has approved as standard billing" Good thing I took out GAP cover.
