  1. HTFU and eat some cement. Jungle oats will probably be better for race day though.
  2. Does anyone work or know anyone at the new Rosebank building? I would like to get permission to ride Trials on the rocks they have in the garden. We have been there once but the guards chased us away pretty fast. They are perfect for practicing, all different heights, different gaps and a bit of water added in is always fun. This kind of riding
  3. spent about an hour in the garden today picking all of this. Tomatoes gone wild The best thing about the cape gooseberries is, I didn't plant any of them.
  4. don't forget the time it takes to edit the photos and send them off once paid for. A Good camera, lense and simple on camera flash is roughly R25 000 so at R50 a picture that is 500 pictures. But now take all the other costs into account and only put R10 towards paying off your equipment. It now becomes 2500 pictures, that's a lot of pictures to sell. I would pay R50 for a good picture, but I haven't had any that I really like or they have been slightly blurry.
  5. you count as a river rat Entry done
  6. Ill be there with a bunch of river rats.
  7. 1st lesson went really well today. I was really impressed at how quick mrbaker picked up on some of the skills.
  8. Trials is REALLY small in SA, Diald has just started brining in Inspired's, they are a bit pricey but I love mine. A facebook page was recently started for Zoo bikes but no prices available yet. https://www.facebook...obikesa?fref=ts Online shops your best bet would be Tartybikes and CRC, if you buy the bike in pieces you don't pay any duties. I got mine from Tarty and a friend brought it over for me from Germany. There is this bike for sale here http://www.thehubsa....onza-zoot-2013/ I started off on the GT Zaskar Hans Ray frame and that was really good to learn on. Its very similar to a DJ frame just lighter and has brake mounts for HS33's Just put a longer stem on and single speed 22-18 was good. Here is a facebook page with all the guys I know https://www.facebook...29670410443623/ I met a Robert last weekend at Giba who recently got a trials bike, I might ride with him at Cascades next weekend. I recently got my hands on another bike and am using it to give lessons to guys up in JHB, unfortunately you stay a bit far. http://www.thehubsa....on-trials-bike/
  9. I will post info tonight, gotta run.
  10. Ready to Ride I'm free most afternoon and weekends. Would prefer to to lessons in Rosebank, Sandton or Emmarentia. All you really need is a pavement to start with. I will main all the guys that contacted me previously to arrange lessons. PM me to arrange a lesson
  11. Bike has had a strip and rebuild. Will give it a test ride tomorrow then we should be ready to commence with the lessons.
  12. Yea, I think you should. Someone lied to you when you bought your 272. so much for 27.5" my 26" moto diggers are bigger than your 27.5" Hanz Dumps :w00t:
  13. Day 4 I have to do that this trip, or just get that far, I will leave that till day 10 though.
  14. I think you should be allowed to switch anyone you see littering, or just jam your foot on their back wheel. I bet they won't litter again after that. At the 94.7 last year I saw a guy toss his punctured tube into the bush, If I wasn't dying on a tandem I would have stopped and wrapped it around his neck
  15. Set your limit screws correctly and you won't need it.
  16. You had to post that Patch. . . . . . Can we keep our numberboards on for France? Yip, I got it from you
  17. Wasn't hard to guess that
  18. Yea, it was horrible walking around with that cast and sling on.
  19. For those who want to do a bit of sight seeing, there is more than enough to do. Personally I definitely want to check out those rock pools or whatever they call them.
  20. Solutions for the damp issues on the middle section of the line. Bring in sand and build up just the height of the path by 100mm, should keep it out of the water. the section with the 2 doubles leading into the gully jump. unless someone feels like digging a drainage trench like the council does (maybe we could fit in another gap jump then
  21. Its only really a 1m gap, but 2m for a smooth landing
  22. There is a 3 sleeper apartment in the place we are at.
  23. We can get a group shot by the Pleney tables with Patches "jumping" them
  24. Did Danny have to shave his legs for that video?
  25. Thanks to all the guys that pulled through to help We had a great turn out, pity the whole area has turned into a swamp after the rain. and thank you to the 3 riders that stopped during their ride to help out
