  2. Wasn't hard to guess that
  3. Yea, it was horrible walking around with that cast and sling on.
  4. For those who want to do a bit of sight seeing, there is more than enough to do. Personally I definitely want to check out those rock pools or whatever they call them.
  5. Solutions for the damp issues on the middle section of the line. Bring in sand and build up just the height of the path by 100mm, should keep it out of the water. the section with the 2 doubles leading into the gully jump. unless someone feels like digging a drainage trench like the council does (maybe we could fit in another gap jump then
  6. Its only really a 1m gap, but 2m for a smooth landing
  7. There is a 3 sleeper apartment in the place we are at.
  8. We can get a group shot by the Pleney tables with Patches "jumping" them
  9. Did Danny have to shave his legs for that video?
  10. Thanks to all the guys that pulled through to help We had a great turn out, pity the whole area has turned into a swamp after the rain. and thank you to the 3 riders that stopped during their ride to help out
  11. If you do the traditional Vida stop in Greenside during your Spruit ride its 100m down the road from there, so easy to fit into a Spruit loop. Its not that much fun on a dual sus though, but still do-able. Don't even try start thinking about Delta, the committee is a bunch of stuck in the mud dog walkers, they hate cyclists.
  12. https://www.facebook...70128984&type=1 Good fun for all  you'll be finished after 4 laps, most doubles are jumpable for the top guys.
  13. Mikes bikes shop in Greenside, just up the road.
  14. Last minute maintenance. For those who are able to lend a hand we need to cut this up and do some reshaping and compacting of the Byron line after all the rain. Meet on Dale Brook Cres road by the main gully jump (where the tree has fallen) just up from Virgin active. Tomorrow, Saturday (1st) 16:30 Ill bring a chainsaw to cut it up, bring a spade or whatever you think will help fix up the bumps.
  15. I had some entertainment the other day, watched 3 guys in a row all wipe out on the jump to berm corner. 1 - over pumped the berm and spun out. 2 - over compressed and fell off the back of his bike. 3 - didn't quite make the corner and wrapped himself and bike around a tree, I was actually a bit concerned with this guy, he kind of stuck around the tree for a few seconds and then slid down it a bit, unfortunately he did break a brake lever. when are we doing a photo shoot?
  16. Damn, just saw this now. Really sucks, hope insurance pays out, makes me want to put extra locks on my bike room. What street are you in?
  17. I have been playing with a spade for the last 3 days, i needed a ride.
  18. I found 1 this morning, its all over my shoe think its dog.
  19. I think they should also have a category for people that complete all 3, add their times or positions?
  20. Or a jump over 1 of the drains, I have already found a suitable 1
  21. Yes its all there, they just leveled the bumps, after the next rain it just needs to be packed up again and reshaped.
  22. Thanks to all who helped out, got it done really quick. Here are some pics from the test. https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/135324-spruit-the-byron-line-a-sample/#entry2187976
  23. For those interested this is basically where the new trail goes. Brown is the main (UP) line Blue is The Byron Line (DOWN)
  24. Good thing you didn't go last year, it would have put you off for life, Fri and Sat were horrible, Sun was bearable but pretty wet. Still had a great time though, my bike didn't I'm hoping there will be no rain this year
