  1. Use this link to get free resizing software. It works well: http://www.rw-designer.com/picture-resize
  2. Twisters -> Easy trimming Uncluttered bars Easier to change gears when out of the saddle Dump / grab a whole lot of gears at once (maybe not good practice but comes in useful for me, at least!) Low maintenance Simplicity Less to break / catch
  3. Mah babe's a goose:
  4. Don't check your tyres... check your Garmin.
  5. Hmmm. Counts me out, then. What a relief...SteelyDan2010-02-12 14:26:29
  6. Sent a few, bru... You can vote for me when I enter the next Weight Watchers spectacular!
  7. Presumably ad revenue...
  8. Thanks, guys! Valuable feedback...
  9. I used Bontrager neoprene grips (about 100 bucks a set - I think I got them at Northcliff Cycles) - and 1 x grip cut in half fits perfectly. Easy to cut with a craft knife. Did the old hairspray thing to get them on and they're the bomb! Twisters are SRAM X7. SteelyDan2010-01-24 12:11:24
  10. Question: I have a 140mm rear and 160mm front setup. What are the best (aka reliable with good braking power, not that concerned about the weight) hydraulic brakes available, preferably locally? Would prefer to keep rotor sizes "as-is"... Thanks
  11. But that is a downhill road ride Er, yup? Gotta go downhill sometimes! Hey, there's even a shuttle bus to take you back up the hill again!
  12. Hmmmm. The Fast One is on Sunday...
  13. Could do Saturday (23rd) if you guys are going again?
  14. Sensitive riders in touch witht their feminine side, will also feel a loose cone when pumping a wheel. ? ? EKSKUUS??? Thanks JB. Now I suppose I need cone spanners and stuff? Will PM you.
  15. Anyone riding Mavic Cosmic Carbones? Just bought a set off the Hub and they're lekker but they're the noisiest wheels I've ever heard... Front wheel "rattles" over anything vaguely bumpy (no, not at Northern Farms). Is this normal? It isn't exactly confidence-inspiring! Hub seems smooth, no play, spins fine. Spokes seem tight and balanced. Can't find the source of the rattle... Any ideas?
  16. Had a similar issue about 6 months ago. "Ting, ting, ting" on the front hub rapidly became a wobble, then the bearings collapsed. Wheel unrideable. Rider unhappy. Looooong walk home... I had hub replaced and no problems since...
  17. Sorry - we have a date at SBR on Sunday! Will try to make the next one...
  18. Hey Dibles! Thanks for organising the ride... thoroughly enjoyed it and meeting some of the other Hubbers. Definitely need to do it again soon.
  19. Depends where in Sandton... At 0630 probably about 15 mins North of Fourways Mall. If that.
  20. Hi Dibles Matic and SD confirmed for tomorrow... See you there.
  21. OK will see if I can find it at Exclusives... Thanks.
  22. Have read FR and enjoyed it. Will have to look for CD - presumably it's also a road trip?
  23. As in Elliott Hester... Oh, OK. Haven't read it.
  24. That's WAAAAAY too in-house...
