  1. I absolutely loved my first Juma!
  2. @KingZA it's so dry out there it looks like the planet Mars
  3. Gerhardsville loop this morning
  4. I was able to enter day before yesterday, will be my first Juma, looking forward to it - seeing they've spent one and a half mil on the route. So who entered 54 km single speed? There's no mountains and plenty sections riding through water/sewage/mud and what not (just keep your nose + mouth + eyes shut for a few seconds and hope for the best)...mostly on the spruit, perfect for ss.
  5. Do you need a CSA license for this event, i don't see any mention of it unless i missed it?

  7. Was there today at registration, stunning venue.
  8. If anyone want to part with there Prince Albert accommodation please pm me, I could be tempted to take it off your hands Edit: pets must be allowed (1 x Yorkie)
  9. If you booked accommodation, still well worth going through and ride with John through the farms. It's beautiful there and the opportunity to ride through some of the farms for free don't land on your doorstep every day.
  10. At last...I have all dem predictions for today's stage 5 correct, hope I'm the only one
  11. Please post the account details again where we can pay in some cash, tried following but been hecticly busy at work and too many pages to go looking for it. Thanks
  12. Stunning, like i said before, worth every cent
  13. Now if only Adidas could have a competition similar to the USN/Virgin Strava challenges, a rider completing the challenges qualify for a draw to win Adidas bibs + jersey...
  14. Money is always a very good incentive. Woman have been discriminated against for decades. We have to start somewhere to get it right going forward. Won't happen over night or perhaps in our lifetime, but it's a good start!
  15. Ariane Luthi (I agree with her 100%) Was it the right decision not to race yesterday? I believe, it was. I didn't race the Ashburton National Marathon in Grabouw, because the prize money for the top women wasn't equal to the men's. I engaged with organisers openly and at length offering many compromises. In the end I have to follow my heart. .
  16. Had a chilled ride around Blue Hills/Beaulieu Country Estate area today
  17. Nope, just the wheel-set (got it at a steal from him )
  18. O yes, VERY collectable because limited numbers were manufactured and only one of three in the country that i know of: Nic White has the previous year's model and Nic Lemond same model as mine in a large (mine is medium size). Here's a short video of a walk around from my Instagram https://instagram.com/p/BMnepOOBVTB/
  19. As requested, some pics of my steel Single Speed Rigid Trek Gary Fisher Sawyer ~ 20 year anniversary special edition. Fitted with a Gates pulleys + carbon belt drive (it came out with a split-able frame and Sram X-7 groupo), Chris King headset and Loaded wheel-set + Hope II hubs + Maxxis Ardent 2.4 tekkies (wheels were hand-build by Anton at Summit Cycles). Weighs about 12 kg, apparently the grade of steel is similar to the steel they use to make the barrels of guns...so it's not as light as e.g. Ritchey Pro-logic or Reynolds 853 tubing. I ride her almost every day during the week as she gives me a great workout with almost no maintenance costs Will get some close ups as soon as I have time to give her a wash as she mostly stays dirty
  20. Daai mensies moet hulle koppe laat lees
  21. They'll have to pay me to ride one...
