The Tourmalet is one of the most beautiful climbs in cycling and I can't believe they finished that stage on the valley floor 70km later... aren't mountain stages supposed to finish at the top of mountains to separate the boys from the men? I guess if you don't try something new you won't know if it works or not. Schleck almost got caught out by a puncture and that would have pissed me off.

Great group effort on one of the coldest days of the year. I will never forget the ice cubes floating in my bottles. Ended up doing 170km on the day by doing an extra lap around the city. Great to put a face to a name and enjoyed having Trubie and his son provide vehicle support. Look forward to riding in the south sometime in the future.

Watched the first test at my friends place. He has HD PVR and over R50 000 worth of equipment to make it a really impressive experience. Would be nice to watch the game at the stadium but at that price...

Support the Cycle Safe campaign as an individual or a group. I do agree that it's safer for a large group to stick together while going through an intersection but try to do it legally. If you're riding alone and it feels unsafe to stop, I fully understand.
