Interesting to see how many pro road riders are having fun MTB'ing during winter. There's nothing better than flying past people without having to watch out for cars behind you. Looking forward to fixing my MTB this week.
Bold move to ride so close to the centre of the truck... It's much safer to pay a friend with a motorbike to do pace work in the countryside.
Also cheaper on fuel than paying a truck driver to pace you

Glad we won but SA needs to have that killer instinct and finish well. Should have been 5 - 0 if the strikers wore glasses, they mis-kicked 80% of the strikes at goal. Very embarrassing considering how good all the other facets of their game were.

Free energy bar or snack for the drive/ride home after the race. Could get sponsor involved and this will help bring the cost of the race down.

It's all about communication. Form a relationship with you LBS and if you get rubbish service, let them know so they get better. (Perfect world scenario I guess)
Wave to people if you like people waving at you. Cycling is a fast growing sport so let's keep it friendly unlike some overseas countries where nobody is friendly.
He said on twitter he would like to finish within 2mins of the winning time and he was 3 minutes off the winners... could have been worse and did a Floyd Landis and popped completely on the climb. Long tour, will have to wait and see.
