  1. Darn I already have my costume ready for this one ... I might still join but maybe this time without a bike! Or I could just use a Lefty since only my left arm is functional for the time being!
  2. It was probably my South-African guns that was firing to hard and fast... come to think of it, my Pina would make a fine SS! At the moment I'm not keen on the op, will chat to a couple of biokineticist and other people as suggested by you lot! Thanks
  3. If it was, this time I didnt see the bastard! Thanks and yea I have been pampered quite a bit I would like to thank my awesome lady (she isnt a hubber yet but she is a mighty fine cyclist so its all good! ) Thank you for all the assistance, it is greatly appreciated! And thanks to the other two ladies contributing to to pampering, DizzyLizzy and DaVinci ... you gals rock!
  4. Yea, as I said I didnt think it was a big deal ... pop it back in and off you go. But this Dr took the lube off my chain a bit. They even wanted to do X-rays before popping it back to "see if anything is broken" I said "Put it back now, nothing is broken, X-ray me later if you want to!"
  5. Thanks, ja that does not sound like fun ... except for the getting drunk part and jumping on castles Just out of curiosity ... what exactly is there above your head?
  6. So I came down and I came down hard this morning! We were on high speed already and decided on a sprint ... while giving it plenty of power, hands in the drops, elbows flicked out horizontally ... at the top of the pedalstroke with the right leg while powering down ... suddenly there was no chain! The right elbow and shoulder took most of the impact ... dislocating it! Weird and k@k painful feeling seeing your arm hang below where it normally sits. Although I have roasties on both hips, both elbows and one knee (not sure exactly how ) ... I felt much better once my shoulder was popped back into place. Luckily the popping back was a bit of a blur ... the ketamine ... made me have a conversation with Lance and he said "Just do it ... but I didn't do it!" So anyhow, I did not think it was all that serious ... pop it back in, off you go and be ready for Saturdays race albeit a bit cautious. Went to the shoulder specialist and he explained that ligaments and muscles got torn off and once a shoulder has been dislocated chances are greater that it might dislocate again although with some the muscles and ligaments attach in all the correct places as if it never happened. His concern is that I am very active and it might be wiser to have to ligaments and muscles surgically re-attached to prevent future dislocation. Not so sure if I want to go for an operation but then again ... I dont want to sit with a problem in the future ... Any experience or opinions? (P.S. Sorry I typed so slow, using the left hand only)
