  1. You pay, I fly anywhere!
  2. I know the Edge 500 backwards, been riding garmin for years and the Edge 500 since release, I am the manual. Some guys prefer to figure it out themselves, which is cool, others have no clue and wouldn't know half the functions existed unless shown. If you don't want someone to show\tell you, that's fine by me too!
  3. No you tjop, I actually set the unit up, explain the different functions, link the HR & Cadence sensors, customise the display screens according to the customers liking, disable auto lap, check the software is up to date, etc ... Oh yea and I also use the 2 o-rings and 3 cable ties to fit it all to the bike.
  4. Congrats man! Hope she brings you lots of Joy!
  5. Not ideal ... your 10spd chain is narrower than 9spd. It will work in some gears but also remember that the pull increments differs with between 9 and 10 speed on the shifters. Your gears will be jumping around quite a bit .... normally somewhere in the middle. Just put a 10spd cassette on the 26er wheel and off you go!
  6. Best place? Or cheapest place? Not the same Best Place? CWC ... because the Tankman will install it for you and show you features that not even Garmin are aware of!
  7. Measuring 4 fingers between your sack and the top tube is very old school and I am of the (personal) opinion that it means jack all. Its all about your position ON the bike. Sloping top tubes, especially on mtb's and even more so on dual suspensions and different geometries from all the different manufactures,. raised and lower center of gravity between 26er, 650b & 29er, makes stand over height the last thing on my list. Effective top tube length remains the most important measurement when sizing/buying a bike. How do you ride in the stand over position?
  8. Yea, that is the 2012 specks, get the 2013 bike with Rock Shox Recon Air fork - R10 500 PM me
  9. But the system will not know, how fit I am, how much power I feel like out kicking out ... what cadence I like .... it will select gears based on what some nerd thought out .... not for me thanks! Sometimes you just want to drop a gear or two and power the crap out of that hill!
  10. Peter Allan frame
  11. Stand over height means very little, geometries are not the same and your center of gravity is higher than a 26er. Seat tube length could play a roll ... on some Large frames I use a 400mm seatpost and can not get my correct saddle height without going way past the minimum insert mark ... good indication to move on to the XL frame size for me!
  12. We came past the Spar on Saturday and went up Old Hells.... looks like there was a great turnout! Would have loved to join but need to be at work unfortunately! Anyone wants to do this route on Sunday, let me know!
  13. We have a Biokineticist (Liné Griffiths) on site at CWC that does the Ergofit and Ergomax setups. The Tankman is also available to do the Ergofit setups when Liné is away on races. Feel free to contact us 021 914 7528 for your appointment. The first two hubbers to PM me will each receive a R100 discount on the Ergofit or Ergomax setup
  14. Or support your Local Online Bike shop... now in stock! http://www.cwcycles.co.za/product/k-edge-computer-mount Same as above
  15. Make that a Medium, Large and XL!
  16. Well if you don't want to wait, PM me! Have a Large right here in front of me!
  17. Cassie - you can get wireless units CatEye for R550 or Sigma for R570. Wired units - Ryder, Blackburn, Sigma, CatEye all around R200 and up. You want a Garmin Edge 500 ... in the end! Most versatile, user-friendly and just an awesome piece of kit!
  18. Interesting points, thanks ichnusa. This is the one thing about the shoulder specialists diagnosis that still bugs me. He only saw the X-rays (after reduced) and never did an MRI or ultrasound but suggested surgery almost immediately ... doesnt add up??
  19. "I am fully licensed to ride my Honda CBR 125 motor bike" Is this oak looking for work or trying to pull chicks?
  20. Had some good news today ... went to see Liné Griffths, Biokineticist at our shop (CWC) and its looking a lot more positive. Liné did a much more thorough investigation than the 1min the shoulder specialist took to lift my arm up and down to tell me I need an operation. None of the muscles or ligaments are completely torn off although some might have small torns in them. We will have another assessment on Monday since there is still a bit of swelling. Movement thus far seems good and Liné said I could be back on the bike in a week! Thanks Liné, you brightened up my day quite a bit!
  21. Yup that stuff was fun ... the ER doctor decided on ketamine after hooking me up to the heart rate machine and said "you cycle a lot, you are really fit, where is you heart rate, oh wait there it is!" He must have been thinking ... reg, kom ons sort gou hierdie perd uit! I seriously remember having a conversation with Lance ... he had quite a big head and face ... in the end he still denied it all but I could see in his eyes he was just as high as me!
  22. Watter hubs het jy Wannabe, Mavic? Jammer ek kon nie kon hallo se nie, was by n Biokineticist ... goeie nuus gekry ... ek post in die dislocated thread
