  3. Hey Rob! why don't you cycle to the little bike show and have it fixed? Crackondale must have a stand there somewhere? How far are you from eurobike?

  5. Thanks man! Had fun building her. Built her with a chain tensioner at first but after fiddling around (for hours) - found the magic gear 50/18. Now she looks like a fixie!
  6. Yup... Titan Pro 650b ... R16k Titan 650b Trail ... R7k Titan 650b Sport ... R6k
  7. No but it does help you smack sand ... with your face!
  8. One step ahead of you ... check it out! Windhoek Lager doesnt fit so lekke but Windhoek Draught fits perfectly!
  9. Damit, I dont want to get her all wet and stuff (the bike!)
  10. Thanks, I paged through the book the other day and could not find anything
  11. Ok seems like us Capetownians are unusually slow to spread the word... that, or I'm just excited to play around in the city streets on my new SS. Next Moonligh Mass ride, this Friday 31 August 21:00 at Green Point Stadium 1. Wear a helmet 2. Use reflective gear 3. Switch on the lights 4. Obey all traffic laws http://www.moonlightmass.co.za/
  12. SO? Every other thread is advertising moonlight mass in JHB, Pretoria, Durban and where not for this Friday 31st of August. Are we in typical Capetonian style only going to start advertising this on Friday afternoon at 5pm? I built a SS especially for this ride man!
  13. ja, unfortunately someone has to look after the shop hey! There are actually a bit more than 2 bikes on the market and some of the bigger brands are bringing out one or two models to test the waters. But the hype is much more European driven, they got left way behind with the 29er explosion and they dont wanna miss out on the "next best thing". Plus their terrain is much better suited for 650b with all their climbs and alps than our 29er cross all over african country. The Europeans are shorties in general and will find the 650b easier to handle than us big, tall and braaivleis eating Saffas on 29ers. Anyhow, as you were. (here are 3 models of 650b's from Titan)
  14. 650b is the new hot thing according to who? Definitely not according to the South African market, maybe the European market because none of them have 29ers We have sold a total of 0 (zero) 650b bikes or frames and 3 sets of 650b wheelsets to go on 26er bikes. ... but we have sold about 6 485 038 - 29ers
  15. No, No, Noooooo! Not that again. Some dumb asses paid R500 bucks and some even dumber asses paid R50 bucks for it!
  16. Eish, my kompoeter, she is broken!
  17. BMI is a load of hog wash. Based on your length and weight alone cant be accurate. The taller you are, the more you are screwed. If you are a skinny cyclist at 75kg and 1.85m tall your BMI is 21.9 - "normal" If you are a sprinter cyclist at 90kg and 1.85m tall your BMI is 26 - "overweight" If you are a body builder/rugby player at 110kg and 1.85m tall your BMI is 32 - "obese" All above are fit and healthy. Hog wash, I tell ya!
  18. Your head is clearly up your own arse otherwise you would have know about this. I knew 4 months ago already. Once you do manage to pull your head out your arse, there are now programs available to check and correct spelling. Dit is verstaanbaar dat jy ingelse woorde kan opneuk, maar for fork sake man spel ten minste die woorde in jou moeder taal korrek! Eggzactly
  19. The list as to why is really toooo long to type out again. Do a search in the box, top right. Garmin vs Polar Garmin vs Bryton Garmin Garmin Edge 500 Garmin comes out top every time. Garmin offers an International warranty for around R450 if you imported it. If you buy it local, as in walk in to the shop and get it there and then, I can set it up, give you a quick tutorial and show you things it can do that you would have never thought of
  20. Yes, buy Garmin!
  21. ... it just couldn't handle this tension any longer!
  22. You missed the NON-Italian groupset on the top of the range Italian frame, the Zero, happily put on their buy the Italian master himself "The rest of you can 'still' lick my chain!"
  23. He said as long as I use Ultegra, Dura Ace or Di2, he would still be smiling!
  24. They really don't
