  1. Sorry for your loss. Hope you get your bikes back.
  2. That's why I'm confused. The top of page of cycle events say 7, but further down 7,30 for 70km race. Take it I need to be safe and prepare for 7.
  3. Met you at the shop when you did. Impressed that it sealed Pikey's burb tire so fast. Stans sealant would not have done that.
  4. Hi FAce Plant. I apologise but nut sure about the starting time of the 70km race. Is it 07h00 or 07h30. Also do I have to bring my own SAS timing bord, or will I get one with registration tomorrow. Thanks.
  5. Very nice Nathrix. Know it's not a lot. But the little bit of The Munga teaser is more than enough for me to want to try it.
  6. well done to all our finishers, and starters who could not complete the race this year. I feel the accomplishment for our finishers, and the frustration and disappointment for the unsuccessful riders. well done on this innovative race to the organisers.
  7. Hi Tim sorry for your misfortune this year again. hope you are recovering well. was holding thumbs for you this year, but conditions on day one just looked so extreme.
  8. SwissVan. There is some dedicated towns which is also checkpoints where one can sleep. They are I think some bed and breakfast or town halls. Then if this is not your strategy I have seen some riders catch a nap on some farmers lawn or even under a tree in the middle of know were. Also it looks like the back markers usually have longer sleep strategies.
  9. Same here Vetseun. From following this last year its has now almost becomes an obsession to proof this to myself. Just need to convince my wife as the training will be huge.
  10. Shame I see GM is way way off track. Looks like the ambulance is trying to get to him.
  11. Chainsaw, I just had to go back and find your post on Sbu again, and for my wife to read. What an inspirational story, and when you see him again, please let him know many people were wishing him well on this extreme challenge and how well he has done.
  12. Shame man. I still feel for his dismay from last year. Think he is turning around now.
  13. Well done to HV. And to JD. What an awesome race especially JD.
  14. By the time the tracking has updated the two winners would probably have crossed the finish line. The tension.
  15. Hats off to all the riders still racing. with the extreme heat and wind experienced this year and looking at the front runners how close they are to the front runner of last year, they are really moving. It is again going to be a nail bite finish this year as in last year. (Pity so many riders had to abandon already, but with the harsh conditions, they are all winners)
  16. I see Brandon is camping somewhere in the koppie. Wonder what he is doing all there by herself?
