Geraldm24 I just looked at my PPA seeding after good times for the fast one and R4s (obviously to my capabilities) I am doing the short Carnival Macsteel MB race this weekend with my club members. But I noticed that with last years race my seeding index was very poor, obviously being penalized for the short distance. To keep my seeding at a better index, will it not be better to then race without a chip, and just do it for fun as it was intended to be. This I would like to know for all possible future fun rides, which could effect my seeding.

Well done for entering Slowbee ( and all the other guys and girls) I am so excited for you. After watching the race last year I was planning to enter now as well. However with our economy suddenly taking such a downturn during December and January, I do not think I will have sufficient time, and motivation to train properly due to increased business pressure. Hopefully there might be improvements soon, and I can then enter if all entries have not been taken. But for now I will follow your progress, good and bad, and be envious.

At the circus they have a bike club. Road and MB. Might be closed now but will start riding in the new year again. Just go to the coffee shop and ask for Robert or Marcel. Friendly group. Good luck.

I mentioned it before that I deleted my email when I read it was a medical Spam. But if they send it to me again, my intention is to do it as accurately as you mentioned.

So 42% of 2016 Epic will be from outside S.A. We can argue this is good for our economy, but now I know why the average South African MB er will never have the change to get an entry for this race, even if we could afford it. Come 2017, our changes will become even less. Maybe they should implement a BEE for local riders, or have a second race just for us locals, at local cost?

Well for now (short term goal) is next year April 36One, and then I guess build from there plenty of long slow rides during the hottest part of the day. Also do a couple of 24 hour events, and most importantly getting the right food and drinks as this seems to have effected many riders. (Hopefully go visit GU at his shop for some small talk, if you know what I mean)

this Munga race with the live tracking was just amassing. As been mentioned little work got done, we suffered with our own sleep, and the excitement, sadness and joy was nonstop. I think Alex has got a winning receipt here. To all the riders, the winners, and non finishers, I take my hat of for you. The difficulty of this race was unknown and they were all pathfinders for future riders to gage their abilities to these adventurers. So much respect must go to HS getting lost, and having the mental strength to turn around and get back to the actual rote, and then still finishing second. Wow, this shows pure determination. Then the last two to three groups who I thought might just not make it, to put all pain and suffering behind them and complete this race with some time to spare. You guys are just amassing. (Also still smiling with over 24 hours to go) Now the only thing left for me to do is see if I can get my wife to mentally support me in doing this race. (Her comment to me last night was, How can you call this fun. Had to explain it is not fun, but a mental and physical adventure, and when successful, no joy or words can properly explain the jubilation one get from succeeding in such an adventure) Hope to see some of you there next year.

I am so pleased price money for the men and ladies are the same. The way these ladies are racing is just as exiting and full of suspense as the men's race was. They are holding nothing back.

I was getting very sad and started feeling sorry for the last 6 guys. However I just looked again at the rules and they have until Monday at 12pm to finish. According to the rules it is 5 days or 120 hours to complete. They did start on Wednesday at 12pm, did they not?
