  1. Wendy, just take it easy up the first 3 km hill. You will suffer but after that just ride in your comfort zone. Most of these guys discussing the race are very fast and very fitt. But they will also take punishment in their own comfort zones. Good luck and most important thing to remember is to enjoy it.
  2. Well it's a good thing it's not your business or somebody you know from the business. However your perceived logic would have been more credible if all the other cycle transport companies mentioned here also had the same pricing structures and related price increases from the previous year. Just saying.
  3. It was not just a matter of late comers. I stood in that queue for 40min trying to register and when I was about to reach the table for temp license I left. Then still had to stand in queue to enter. Arrived over an hour before race was suppose to start. So did the route by my self without any hold ups.
  4. Jo so right Nick. I have never seen MB riders or rodies do this?
  5. Sorry never read it Scotty. Will go and look it up to read some more entertaining topics when I have nothing to do. lol
  6. Wow, can't believe this could be a topic of discussion. I guess next we will discuss if we we should stop at stop streets or robots. Or should we wear helmets or not. What about listening to music while we're at it.. Come let's have some polls on this?
  7. Eish, not nice. (The bottle neck, not your comment)
  8. According to accuweather, there is a 61% change of rain next Sunday, with gust winds predicted at 47km/h.. Should the weather actually be like this on race day, I guess there will be no personal best. (Then again most of these weather forecast apps has been totally inaccurate)
  9. Now this is real entertainment. Thanks guys, keep it rolling.
  10. You might have a ear infection or some bad sinus which will effect your balance.
  11. Most of you always try and hide behind "What Does The LAW Say" and most of us are motorist. Show me one road law that is not broken by motorist every single day which in danger every one of us. My point is, if it is not safe in a car every day, what change have cyclist have. Our responsibility as cyclist is to be aware of our surroundings at all times, and we need to ride were and how is the safest while enjoying ourselves, and be on the lookout for potential killers. So if that mean not being able to ride two abreast most of the time, then rather this than what could go wrong. Come on guys and girls, we don't live in a perfect world, so let us improvise our passion to be safe, and not to what's right, or wrong.
  12. RIP
  13. Wow, Nice.
  14. Not good at all. Hope he is ok.
  15. What an arrogant brainless P$:!k. I guess your favorite pastime after many beers is womanizing and abusing children.
  16. Agree with you Eddy. However, if you look at what the Hubbers are selling their secondhand bikes, parts, and other bike related goods, a bicycle have the least depreciation of all movable goods. So it seems to be a good investment?
  17. The Cycle Hub at Rietvlei. Good service, people, and product assortment
  18. Will join in next one. Doing Crater Cruise that day.
  19. Wow, very nice. Impressive
  20. Like your shoes McD23
  21. This is sad news, yet again. Sam send our best wishes to your sister, and I hope she recover quickly.
  22. This thread sounds a lot like our current economy. On the one side you have businesses who buy out non profitable or poorly run businesses. On the other side you have the disgruntled employees or unions who will agree to anything in the beginning. Then when these previously unprofitable companies start recovering and start making a profit, now is the time these unions and or employees regret their initial decision, and want to start Demanding more, or even everything back. Now if they don't get what they want, they start Toy-Toying, burn types, discredit these companies, and as often seen, intimidation. This is really sad how unprofessional and childish grown ups can be, but what these same individuals don't understand because of their narrow minded thoughts, is things like this could effect our sport and passion in the long run. Last word of advice. If there are problems, discuss it with the relevant party. Don't sink yourself to a low level and inform every Tom dick and Harry, as it might come back and bite you. (Yes I know my spelling is bad)
