  1. Feel a little inferior posting this, having checked the other posts out. However, I'm proud of her........... ;-) taking her home from ccGallery in Umhlanga.
  2. Hi Guys, a bunch of mates and I are doing the K2C for the first time this year. We have booked accommodation in Knysna and I'm trying to find out if there is somewhere safe for us to park our bike off for the Saturday night, prior to race day. The intention is to go up on Saturday (to Uniondale) and register, have dinner, get a feel for the event etc, and then head back down to Knysna. the following morning we'll head up to Uniondale in one vehicle (with a driver) and do the ride. Any suggestions/advice. Thanks!!
  3. This is such a common occurrence, and is only getting worse. We have a massive conundrum here on the North Coast and it's not going to end well. All we want to do is ride. We pay our annual fees, we buy our permits, we have fantastic trails.....we just want to ride!!!!
  4. Have a look at Holla Trails' FB page, and maybe pop the question on there. I lead a Saturday morning "intermediate or lower level" group, but that doesn't seem to work for you.
  5. Hi Guys, we've set up a group to ensure that refunds from the Durban Dirt are made. Please see the group here https://www.facebook.com/groups/1417663621815162/1417675111814013/?notif_t=group_activity just add your name, and we'll then refer it to TIB & B-Active. Some riders have been refunded, and some haven't, hence the group. Please advise anyone else that you know who entered the event. Thanks, Scott.
  6. Yeah............buy a Mountain Bike *get's the h£ll outta Dodge before the roadies lynch him* Jokes aside, I was carrying old rugby, cricket, athletics...etc etc injuries, and just by cycling I've strengthened my core and 'support structure' muscles and don't get seriously hurt much any more. Good luck Bud!
  7. Thoughts are with him. This really sucks!!!

Grant, if you find yourself up the North Coast you should give Holla Trails-Ballito a 'burn' as well. We're proper spoilt to have two awesome facilities servicing two very popular areas of KZN. Enjoy our winter Bud!!! 25deg........gotta love it!!!
  9. This sucks. RIP
  10. Two really good okes combining..................Rourke & Victor......awesome #ProudlySouthAfrican!!!
  11. I found that chatting to the chaps at my LBS helped. I suppose it also helps that I went to school with the owner. Ask if you can sit in for a morning (or as long as you can allow) and see what they do. Especially when servicing your bike. It's good learning & most bike shops will accommodate........
  12. It was my pleasure.....................doubt I could have stopped at that stage though, I was in auto pilot :-D
  13. Thanks for this, I guess I did leave a lot to interpretation and implication. Perfect response for me.....................'Mountain Biking For Dummies'. Thanks again.
  14. Because I'm new to MTBing & know no better. What would you recommend? Run them tubeless? Then I'd have to figure out if my rims are tubeless enabled (or is that a uber doff comment?)
  15. @bassasdaindia & Francois.........too kind. So, no conversion etc, just whip the old tyres off & the new ones on? Seems too easy. Thanks Guys.
  16. Good morning all, Now, having read the subject line, please avoid any eye rolling ;-) and forehead slapping/face palming.......one day you may need legal advice........and then what!?!?!? :-D I am VERY new to MTBing.....play nice! Anyway...as the subject line implies. Can I 'run' Killer Bee UST's with tubes? Thanks in advance.
