Trek and Spec do have great back up service, in fact I think the only two in SA where your warranty actually means something, I just cannot get my head the humpback look, why could they not use straight tubes, nothing sexy in a trek at the moment,

in so many ways a Spec makes sense, If you do have an issue with these unique brands the warranty is such an issue, you crack a spec and you will be on a new one within a week, and race proven. starting to lean towards it

Im sure the Trek is a great bike, But that whole hunchback look does not do it for me, just so oversize, all the elegance has gone

Yes, I was thinking the same, there was a water point here and the 45KM guys should have ridden up Malanshoogte, and 60km straight over to Hoogies, I asked all the guys at the water point if we should not be going up the road and not one of them had any idea, I did not want to spend the day behind the backmarkers of the 60KM so called it a day, I'm betting many of the 45km riders did this extra milage

Want to put a dropper on this bike , however does not look like it is drilled to take an internal dropper post,BB area also looks rather small anyone done something like this before , thinking it may have to be external?

It is a great event, trails are great, I cannot help but think they should consider leaving out the breakfast and lunch, drop the free T Shirt and bring the price down, im sure at least half the riders dont eat, if you are hungry buy a Spur Burger, its R800 per day for 50KM

I do agree, cut out the T-Shirt, the free food, the music, like there is only shaded seating for around 50 people anyway and bring the price down, who eats the breakfast and lunch anyway. Maybe we are just getting old,

Been doing this event since 2013, I must warn anyone seeded C and below. The E bikes smash the first climb and then dismount to walk the single track, it can get frustrating, there is that much narrow ST, you just cannot pass

just love this race, camped the Friday night, what a great arrangement and well managed, great food, great breakfast,perfect campsite, toilets and showers spot on, tonnes for wood for the camp fire. will do this for sure next year. Big thanks to all the support staff, everything was perfect,

Im in Cape Town, so delivery should not be a problem , I think if you are in the sticks you could be delayed, OK let me give it a go, few of my mates use him and rave about the service
