  2. I called Garim SA in JNB, they said drop it at Nav world maitland, they have scheduled pick ups, the crash replacement they recon is R1700 and sure Nave world stick on a few bucks which im happy with, 2.5 years old and i rode lots with it, so happy if this works out
  3. I'm.happy with just over R2000 if I could replace, so do I call NAV world, for the life of me I cannot recall where I bought it

  8. last years race was like watching paint dry, not worth it , in 2015 they took you up the mountain, and great down hills afterwards, anyone know if the route is teh same as last year
  9. Yip, Had the earlier versions of the Stans, got a set of MK3 Arch and cracks started, rear wheel drive side, MY LBS replaced , I had to pay for build and tape, 4 months later the warranty rim does it again, I bought a second set at CWC a few months ago and these seem to last, Im thinking the early MK3 may have been problematic and then they corrected the mistake, just check your rims often
  10. All part of mountain biking, flats hills, even getting lost sometimes unfortunately, I used that flat section to close some gaps on the skinny climbers, one of the best one day races on the calendar
  11. yip, replaced it twice for good measure
  12. call called them very helpful. my cadence sensor stopped working, my Garmin 520 will pick up other cadence sensors, so it must be the sensor, anyone had similar problems
  13. Anyone know if there is a place in Cape Town that repairs or is a service center for Garmin?
  14. after all the hype I did this event last year. Its so different to any other stage event, firstly with just 200 riders its very boutique, you dont feel like one of the masses like you would at so many other events, you get to know the small team of riders, its true family affair with the owners/farmers/event organizers serving you breakfast themselves, you feel valuable. The Single track I must warm you, is sick, i hate to say it but you almost wish for a 1 km piece of jeep track just to get a energy bar in and a drink of water, there is simply nothing like it, its simply the best ST you will ever experience and with only 200 riders there are no Qs, its all yours, the setting is amazing, the food is great, if you are looking for an event in this price range, and there are many, do this one.
  15. Help Please I need to replace the headset bearing on my C60. Do i need a press , the bearing are sitting rather tight, any advice on their removal. Does anyone know the dimensions of these bearings, could save me taking in samples

  17. Ja, I also got AL Any idea how the seeding works, Guessing AL is A group Long route
  18. WOW, what a great event, great camping, thank goodness I got my car next to my tent, used the Enduro campsite, The trails, brilliant, just a proper MTB event,no big corporate sponsor, great selection of food and beer, Will be back next year, for value for money, I would do this over W2W and day of the week, R1500 a team entry verses R13500
  19. Does anyone have any photos, I did not stop to take any, regrettably, that ST on the ledge with the dam below was amazing, sitting behind my desk now on a Monday I kinda reliving that ride, I have never know such friendly dudes at the water point, I thought I was winning the race the way they were cheering us on. looking forward to the U, that was one seriously tough 63Km, I got a total of 1440 meters,
  20. This race was without doubt the best ST ever, so well organised, kudos to the organisation, from the toilets to the water point, this race will sell out next year, I hope as returners we will get first option. Did anyone get caught out by that see saw bridge,
