  1. You could not untick the box and was charged R120. I have sent a refund request to Cycleevents as they would not even issue us with the chips!
  2. Do you get a "Flipper" attachment for Cleats? When we registered I had to buy a Racetec Chip. Which is now not required. Are there any other races that will require this chip during the year?
  3. I would love to see the bike setup guys faces when you arrive for a fitting.
  4. I currently ride a Merida TFS300 26" with XT derailers, Mavic SLR rims and a RockShox Dual Air. I have been offered a Merida Big.Nine 1500 Lite with a whole 68km on the clock. Besides the obvious wheel size benefit is this bike going to: Last me 5 years? Be as much fun as my current steed? Is it a worthy purchase at R10K? Is there something better for the similar price? At 90kg, is there any worry of this frame wheel combo failing? Please advise any thoughts good or bad. 7. My little Guy is on a 16" Titan. some of you would have seen him at northerns with the Super Cyclist shirt Great bike and so far very reliable and good value [
  8. How do you get back to the top?
  9. Thats a load of rubbish! My mate is 7ft1 and has only ever ridden 26er.
  10. I picked up ours for R3000 with hydraulic disk conversion already done. Realy nice bike. Not the lightest but around 10.5Kg
  11. My 10yr old Girl has been on a Momsen JR 26" for the last 2 months. Best move we ever made moving to 26" She is about 2" shorter than her class mates of the same age.
  12. I have been using Endomondo for a while and my Polar RCX5. A mate told me to try Strava which i loaded onto my S3. Strava appears to over read by about 5% compared to the other two. This week i started both Endo and strava on the phone at the same time and it recorded 34.47km on Endo and 36.0Km on Strava. Is there a setting needs changing or is this why Strava is so Liked?
  13. Owl? on the floor?

  15. As we are trying to instill manner, in our kid's, I have told her not to push between riders on the jeep track, which could have been done in this case. We rode again yesterday with both kids and had nothing but compliments as my 4 year old was leading the way in his Supercyclist shirt. Thanks for the encouragement given. No one realises how that spurs these kids on to ride further and faster.
  16. I would like to thanks the two TONSILS who swore at my 10 year old daughter this morning when she politely asked for you to make space as she was climbing the hill faster than you. F***** O** is not the way we would like to teach our young future SA champs to be good sportsman ir woman. It amazes me that every time we ride there are always 1 or 2 wombats who are so rude to the future champs. I challenge you to be rude when I'm next to her instead of when I'm 200m behind and cant hear. I promise you that you will suffer a "cleat incident"
  17. Any of you in the 40 year old bracket would have grown up and been the first to own and ride BMX's. Helmets were not even thought of let alone a must have. As kids we made the most crazy jumps and drop offs in Delta park (now known as the Spruit) and crashed a load of times. Still having the multiple scars to prove it. Now as a parent and rider I wont get on any bike without a correctly fitting helmet. how many people do you see with the helmet on the back of there head with their forehead open to any impact? Or even better with the helmet on backwards! Helmets are only good if they fit correctly and stay in place on impact.
  18. I luckily caught mine before it popped! They said another 12 hours and it would have been a different story. Off to Champagne castle on Friday and really want to ride! Bike will go with anyway just in case I can get a few short rides in.
  19. After having stomach pain for 24hrs I am now short an appendix! Has anyone had this operation? How long before you were back in the saddle and beating mountain paths? Doc says do what i want, pain is the stopping point. This does not help 10km from the start of a trail. Any input is welcome.
  20. My 3 year olds joy at Cool Runnings Taken by Moon light in the Karoo
  21. I felt lke a fool yesterday morning 2 minutes before the 10km kids race started at Northerns, I manage to fall infront of the camera man while "balancing". It was not as funny as all the spectators though!
