Quick question: Is it possible to swap my cane creek headset on my Cevelo S1 with the existing fsa headset on my new (second hand) Cervelo R3 ? Basically all i want to do is swap the top cap out as the cane creek cap is smaller in height. Thought I would ask before dismantling both bikes. Thanks in advance.

Because they opted for a better R&D team and then +1 on what onetime said. Seeing that the Cervelo test team are at the top of the UCI rankings their R&D team must be doing something right ! I wouldn't mind having HAUSSLER, HUSHOVD & SASTRE on my R&D team..

From what I have heard the specialized have custom (expensive) and unreliable crank bearings not compatible with Campag or Shimano and the rear chainstay does not like deep dish rims (zip 808's). Tom Boonen went through 3 frames before they got it right for him. Then again the rear of the cervelo R3SL is too hard for others. Why dont Specialized have a R&D team like the Cervelo test team ? I would personally take the new Cervelo S2.

With people always reporting bad service and very few good service posts, here is a good service punt. Hate to be bearer of bad news but my wife was at the doctors room on Monday morning at about 10h00 when a badly injured cyclist was brought in by his sister. Apparently he was pushed off the road between Kiblerpark going towards Zumbug by a truck and hit the tar hump on the side of the road (just after Rhema Church entrance road). He had blonde hair and was in his twentys wearing a blue cycling top and pants. Badly injured eye and maybe a broken wrist and a big hole in his shirt. The doctors sent him to casulty immediately. Thank goodnes he was not killed and that he had a cellphone to call for help. Hope you get better dude. We ride this route at least 3 ~ 4 a week and always considered this part stretch safer than most. Nish42009-02-09 13:23:07
