  4. Sounds like a popliteus overuse injury or maybe PCL inflammation from slight strain(if it hurts when going up stairs then that usually PCL). ICE,HEAT, ICE,HEAT..15min at a time. bit of massage. then see what it does. if it still hurts go to the doc.
  5. I figured that it would be less seeing that bikes that came out as "freeride" bikes had about 150mm travel. But you could be right for sure. Im fairly new to biking.
  6. I would say AM, ENDURO and FREERIDE are all the same with freeride maybe have a bit less travel for better jumping. DH has alot more travel and you can not ride uphill. You want to get a bike with 150mm to 180mm fork and alot of rear travel with a 1 x or 2x gear setup. Like a santa cruz blur lt, gt force, or specialized stumpjumper just to name a few. I have a travel adjustable fork so i can drop to 140mm when i climb and be at 180mm when i drop into a downhill line.
  7. if sites such as gumtree and olx allow comments on their ads it would prevent a lot of thee scams.
  8. These are the "best"(most expensive) 2 knives i own. Zt 350 and zt300(pic has a zt301, the 300 is full black like the baby 350.they are tanks. I put the 300 through i hilux bonnet once. Went in so smoothl. That being said. My spyderco tenacious is still my favourite. My next dream knife is a good local Ras Venter. But at R7k its probably going to stay a dream.
  9. I love the spyderco tenacious. I have a few really expensive knives but my spyderco is still my favourite. Best edc i own. And cheap too
  10. Liewe hemel. Waar bly jy dat jy met daai mes op jou belt rondloop... Orania?
  11. I like that knife. What model benchmade is it? Might add it to the collection
  12. In and out before they could
  13. Went to Australia for a holiday. went for a "cruz" around Sydney and did something not very many people have done before. In fact i might be the first one ever because it is illegal. I rode down the opera house steps with my bike! Check the video if you want evidence. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n0uCo7x2cI4 I also rode Mount Stromlo forest park which i will post about later. Its amazing how much many the government pumps into a free activity.
  14. I use to have a boot rack for my golf 4. This is what happened to my car and bike in a light crash in heavy traffic. The other person didn't even have a scratch on their bullbar thats how light it was. If you shop around and not in too much of a rush. you could find roofracks and a proride for around R2000 second hand. Then just buy another one when you buy another bike. They come past nice and cheap every now and then on the hub. It the best way to transport a bike. With rear bike racks there's always ropes, sponges or pool noodles involved to stop bikes from touching each other and grinding paint off frames. They are rubbish. Unless you get an euroride and a towbar which is going to cost around 10k.prorides are the best intentions since the wheel.
  15. Go with the market leader and you won't have problems. Sure it might cost you R50 more a month but you know that you won't have problems. If you pay with peanuts you are going to get monkeys
  16. Cc is the biggest bunch of skelms in this country. Glad you got the bike back man.
  17. Yes it was my santa cruz nomad. They guy from cc called me after finding out it was my bike. He paid 4k for a 60k bike so its a bit hard to claim ignorance BUT that being said he did give it back to me and is 4k in the hole. The first thing you should do when your bike is stolen is send a email to cc head office so they can send it out to their branches. There aren't any syndicates guys. These bikes get bought by fellow riders from these thieves or sold to a cc for a quick buck. I went through the whole process so now i know. And just a little tip. Whenever you store your bike.. Whether in your house or garage or wherever it may be. Remove the front axle or skewer. It will make it much harder to get away with the bike without it
  18. Get a good broker that will sort it out for you. Thats the key. I have a really good one if anyone wants their details.
  19. I use this excuse when this misses is in the car and the woman on the bike is hot I'd be like... Nice parts those...
  20. I recently changed to 1x10.put a 30tooth chainring i front and a 42 tooth at the back. Works so well. And you won't lack speed on the flats either. And like the other guys said. 1x11 is expensive and the drivetrain seems to need replacing very quickly. But thats what i heard.. Not a fact.
  21. Move to Australia. Its the answer. Donerse land is in se m...
  22. Just a quick pilot ride to get the sludge into the tires. Canberra, Australia for 3weeks. Booom
  23. For 130k i would by a santa cruz and go on 2holidays to alps and whistler. But hey if you feel the need to over compensate for something, go ahead. Its a bike i think specialized should only offer to people who have done certain races to justify it. We all know how it feels when some rich kid who cant ride for sh#t had the same bike as you do.
  24. Most amazing day in jonkers. Dirty, muddy, wet... Amazing
  25. Where was this taken?
