  1. Come I ask this. What do I get for my 30k, say I sign up for year? What type of gains can I expect if I follow your program to a T? Lets make it in %?
  2. The thing is, its either everything or nothing: Don't understand how you can get a half coach? My view on this is quite simple: I need a Coach/Assistance , hence the reason why I get 1, But cant afford the full package so go for cheaper? So come coaching time I will receive the cheaper assistance ? Only partial? Maybe its just me ...but how does 1 coach partial? "No sir sorry, you only paid for the bronze package ...so you will only receive feedback on HR and not Power, or you will only get a training program and not a recovery and tapering program.. we will give you a program but wont be able to tell you if I really works as you didn't take full package, thus we cant systematically monitor stress and improvements. So for me Its everything or nothing, but at R2500, just not justifiable.
  3. I would love a coach ... but at R2500pm So instead I have dedicated the remainder of this year to learn/study and experiment. GOOGLE ... ...theHUB But as the article stated , Cycling the new golf so loads of cash to be spent and even more to be made...
  4. So in a nutshell. Coach is a must? Any recommendations in Cape Town? No V02 test etc done to date, but based on current progression believe I have a small tiny little bit of natural talent. Currently sitting mid 4wpkg( +-14% BF) , and achieved that just under 2 years by just riding bike, nothing really structured , but would like to see how deep this rabbit hole goes. Would doing a V02 test be recommended?

  6. Had my best test to date yesterday , everything was perfect, HR on limit but wasn't in pain, legs was eina but not over the top. Was bouncing around the 4.3-5wpkg and then at minutes number 25 , as I am about to cool down .... I run out of data Boom internet connection lost :cursing: No Data..No results ... but even more demoralising no strava= Didn't happen Ja ne,,, the joys
  7. Does anyone have a percentage break down? Exp: 0ut of every 100 ,80 is cyclist? 80% cyclist? Or is it 5% is actually cyclist , that should give a very quick indication of risk.
  8. was only for a 20min session , but pretty confident I will be able to hold 300+- for a hour if need to be, very very painful and really don't enjoy it. Use the tacx flow power meter 100% calibrated , most guys say they are not to far out when gradient it kept on 0., My legs tell me the speed is very close as 38kph on the road and 38kph on the trainer gives me same heart rate and same pain Most important for me is the fact that todays 5watts will be tomorrows 5watts , as stated before a good base to work from

  10. Started my Bi-weekly FTP and not looking forward to next one, seriously painful and I don't enjoy them at all. Anyways very happy with results 312 Watts Power reading probably out by +-10% but a very good base to work from. Don't think its to shabby for someone that only been cycling for 11 Months Happy Friday :clap:
  11. Just a question regarding the 20min FTP. Basically at the beginning of the ride its very hard to hold the wheels and I even get dropped, towards the middle holding the wheels become easier and toward the end of the ride I start riding away from the very same guys that killed me at the beginning. So basically 20min FTP will be lower then all, but as the time goes on either get stronger or the others get weaker. How does that fit into this 20Min FTP test?

  15. Will be giving Cadence a go. Got myself Carbo and gels( never used it before) Test 2nite to see how my body reacts( not ideal situation ,,maar nou ja) Real test will be Saturday( 99er) normally hits a nasty bonk at +-65km( +-2 hours into the race) for so 10km then fine after that again. Based on what I read here this should alleviate that problem
