  1. Hectic, have you spoken to them about it?
  2. Both times this has happened to me the seller wasn't interested in an EFT - cash is king and that's what they wanted, both times the seller was in Pretoria and I'm in Jhb BUT travel to Pretoria almost every second day for work. A bit of a *** feeling when you arrive at the agreed place at the agreed time and sms the seller asking where he is only to be told that they sold to someone else.
  3. Agree that the first person to pay gets the goods BUT if the buyer has already made arrangements to collect and pay in cash and the seller then still goes ahead and sells to someone else is just plain BS! It's not calling Dibs, the sale has already been agreed to and it's just a matter of collecting and paying
  4. Cable cutters Plenty rags to clean and wipe stuff with
  5. Terribly sad news, strength to his family and friends.
  6. It looks like there's bunting leading to the turn, they literally short cut just after the bunting ends? Also looks like the bunting was put there to stop riders using the shortcut jeep track, they just grab the next jeep track, miss the bunting and short cut the turn.
  7. Anyone have any idea how long it takes before the organisers issue a statement regarding the appeal?
  8. Huge difference between doping and lying to hide it for so many years and cutting an s-bend! The article suggests that Go-Pro footage from the team behind them and Evans' own footage was used, I would guess the appeal would rest on why he did it, obviously he can't say he didn't do it. The punishment really might not fit the crime, we'll have to wait and see
  9. Evans has been racing at the very top end of MTB for so many years that I doubt he'll do something like that without a reason - he's well aware of the consequences, he's riding with a Go-Pro mounted, the team is appealing. Maybe just me but it just doesn't add up?
  10. The article says the decision was based on Go-Pro footage and that they will be appealing the decision. Kevin has been riding for long enough not to make a silly mistake like this, hopefully they will be found "innocent"
  11. Question is "How can you fall out of love for your SS?" Every time I ride a SS it reminds me of riding BMX's back in the 80's, can't help but smile and love it
  12. Awesome, seriously nice ride
  13. Yip - I can already see it, now just need the cash to pay for it I sold my Inbred 26er in a moment of absolute madness - does rate highly on my list of what the F have I done!
  14. Flowta that crankset is superb!
  15. Hairy, I have an On-One Inbred 29er in mind for my next build, was toying with the idea of a Ragley but want a SS specific frame.
  16. We should try get a group order for Jhb and see if we get a discount like the guys in the Cape did
  17. I was out at Heia Safari on it yesterday and it's a swamp alright, even the floating bridge is underwater
  18. My recently finished 26er build - started life as a brand new Raleigh RM5 frame
  19. Hectic, best of luck for Monday
  20. I've actually ridden it quite a bit already and so far it's just been wipe down with a damp cloth and we're good to go
  21. Thanks Hairy - was toying with the idea of not replacing the Raleigh head badge but it's a proper pressing and not a sticker and it does make it a one of a kind Raleigh
  22. Only pending changes are a red chain and I'll probably swop the pedals out for a set of black one's that I have. She's actually a really sweet ride and it's been well worth all the effort.
  23. Finally an update - made some changes as I was going along; the polished bar and stem just were a bit too bling; if there's such a thing so replaced them with a black FSA bar and black Ritchey stem. So, here she is ....
