  1. JA...rims are more or less on par, quality and weight wise so wont really be a difference. You can either buy a 9mm QR hub and rebuild the wheel, or get a '15 Thru axle to 9mm QR' adaptor.
  2. Not morbid....just bitter. Put a smile on your dial sunshine...

  6. Hi, Need assistance with rear caliper mount on an Avid Elixir 1. Bought a set few weeks a go, but tried to fit it on the weekend and realized that the mountings on the rear caliper and mountings on the frame are different. Mountings on the caliper face downwards, whereas the frame mounts come in from the side. Is there a mounting adaptor tat will fix this, or this just not going to work on this frame. Frame is a 2012 GT Zaskar pro 9r Any help will be appreciated.
  7. Not sure if it's been mentioned anywhere here....but try Greg Hesslewood. Mate of mine in Jozi, and a brilliant knife maker!
  8. Its something that we all do...immediately draw conclusions about others....and often the judgement is justified....but many times...we find that the oke had a valid reason for dropping us....as in your situation. My response should be taken lightly...

  10. Not all of them suck. The higher end ones or really solid. And weight wise for e.g., Alex SX44 is 520gr for the hoop only, apparently the ZTR Crest is about 395gr with a weight limit.
  11. Hi, Could the Route profiles possibly be updated for the green and red routes on the website? Also, what is the blue route about? Is it a short cut or an extension on the Red route? Or can some upload there own profiles from Strava or Endomondo or something like that

  13. We are not force fed anything....there's enough resources out there for anyone to make a calculated decision on what to ride\buy. The fact that anyone comments on this forum, means you have the resources at the tip of your fingers. You do not have to buy off the floor if it that specific type of bike does not suit your riding...you can build, like many people do. Any 1st purchase can be forgiven because you might not yet know what type of riding you enjoy(starting to ride in the 1st place is a winner), but an upgrade...this is where you yourself need to go and figure out what works for you. Not a salesman, not hubbers, yourself...and your wallet! My bike is called Frankenst9ner...its made up of parts(not standard spec) that i thought would work for my type of riding...and lo and behold....i completely enjoy everything about it. No one is force fed anything....you can choose what you want to ride...just do some homework...
  14. No offence in intended towards you Eldron...
  15. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder man dammit....lol
  16. 100 comment long thread and people still moaning like old ladies with wet panties...lol...sjoe Knocking a general group of people instead of pin pointing a certain type of biker is really a waste of time. But anyway...its the HUB...we say what we want when we want...and carry on and on and on and on about it.
