    Race King

Thx, I will definately use Sealant, and if I did not have them already I'd buy UST ones. But I have them, so was wondering if I could use them like this. .
  4. Who would those be ? And yes, I am talikng about road tubbies. Also, if the pressure squirts it out, will it not stop at a certain pressure and then I can add enough pressure back to get me home ?
  5. I have seen the benefit of sealant in both tubes and tubeless tyres on my MTB for the last 5 years. Despite many thorns etc. penetrating the casings, I have not had to change or use a tube on the ride. However, I have read about the big downside of tubbies being that if you puncture on a ride, you are basically stuffed. My question: Is there any reason why I cannot use a sealant in a tubbie, and will it give me the same protection ? .

    Race King

I have a pair of non-UST Race King tyres which I run on a set of American Classic tubeless ready wheels. I have tried them without tubes, and they hold air well, even without sealent. I will obviously use some sealant, but could I use these wheels tubeless for some non-technical riding along the spruit ? If so, what would the limitations be, or should I just run the tyres with sealant filled tubes? .
  7. Juan When you have time, I have one Epic with a derraileur hanger that snapped off on the spruit yesterday at my house. Please come and do your magic when you are in the neighbourhood. The bike is not needed this week, but would be good to have it done by the next weekend. Also check the spokes to see if they are ok. groete E
  8. I have one of these on a steel Merckx, works like a bomb, but is quite heavy .

  12. I have a package from CRC on the way and need to get the local poskantoor tracking number on my Parcelforce delivery. I know there is a number to call which gets you to the very helpful Tannie at the ORT depot who will tell you exactly where it is, but I have lost it when the Hub changed its hosting. Help please
  13. WW Who's side are you on ????? If you keep telling the world what a good job he does, soon he will not have the time to come and build up my bikes from scratch, service them, wash and lube them(at no charge) sommer because he is in the neighbourhood and has a few minutes to spare or re-build and spray a fork for me so that it looks and works like new. WILL YOU PLEASE STOP DOING IT. IT IS NOT FAIR ON HIS EXISTING CUSTOMERS !!!!!!! Seriously guys, give him a bash. I'd like him to stay in business, he deserves it. Ps. Juan My boks met die speelgoed in kom more. Sien jou Donderdag (dis nou as jy nie besig is nie) Groete

  18. If I build-up a bike from bits and pieces bought on the web and over a two year period I pay: R3000 for a frame; R2000 for a set of wheels; R2000 for a fork; R2000 for a crankset & brakes; R2000 for handlebars, stem, seat post and saddle, <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> What did the bike cost me?
  19. <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> I have not been on a road bike for some years now and have got used to a Garmin Edge off-road. So, is it acceptable to the style gurus for a Garmin to be mounted on a raod bike, or is it like a Camelback only for the dirt?
