  1. None whatsoever is allowed or regarding the night riding rules, there are none whatsoever? Your post is a bit ambiguous.
  2. I've finished all four challenges!! Now just to get through the lucky draw! I've really enjoyed this competition - it's made me go out on my bike when I otherwise wouldn't have, almost like a training plan that you have to stick to. Really good. Holding thumbs for the draw now!
  3. Question - I bought my permit on the 9th November, but haven't heard anything since then. Do I now just pitch up and ride? Do I collect a board from somewhere? How does it all work? I haven't had a chance to get there yet, but want to very very soon!!
  4. Noooooooo Enjoy the bike
  5. How many people are still in?
  6. Amped! I've enjoyed the previous three, looking forward to this one!
  7. It's starting to reach the point where when you say ROI I feel like I need to have a drink. Same as the Donald Trump sniff drink game. Or Robyn's "but-um" from How I Met Your Mother
  8. This wasn't a route in the proposed EMP (only spoken about as a possibility in the text) - the route over above Kirstenbosch. Has this been sorted out / approved / worked out in the meantime? I really really hope that it has! Coming from Rhodes Mem side to get back to the greenbelts has always been a slog along the road. Avoiding that would be a massive win! I really really really want to see the updated trail maps!!
  9. I also managed to do Challenge #3 yesterday in 95km on the MTB in the howling wind. I was broken by the end of that sufferfest! Bring on Challenge #4!
  10. They're at the white building with the big I in a green circle on it just after the Jubilee Square parking area, not the building listed as their address on their website. I walked around in circles two weeks ago looking for it...
  11. Will there be a new set of maps showing new and allowed trails or is it as per the EMP proposal?
  12. Looking at it again now on the site (and not reading Meezo'a post), I would have to agree. Ignore my previous reply
  13. I would think that you should exclude the afternoon sessions. Otherwise it would show morning afternoon morning as your three consecutive rides. If they're not consecutive then there's no other way of 'filtering' out your short rides? I would think... That's how I see it anyway.
  14. I agree. I want somewhere where I can see the number of people left decreasing every two weeks at the end of the challenge.
  15. I've just bought my permit. Looking forward to seeing what's there and all of the future trails!
  16. Don't plan on having a productive work day. I went before work last week and was a zombie all day. I might as well have just called in sick and gone for a ride during the day
  17. I got home to see 4h56. F#$&* Luckily the ride had only stopped, not finished so I started it again and went back out and around the block I'm going to have a problem with the next challenge though - I have no way of knowing how high I've climbed until I've uploaded the ride to Strava. I'll just keep climbing hills until I just can't anymore and need to be recovered. That should hopefully be enough.
  18. Aah man, this would be awesome! Entered and holding thumbs.
  19. Challenge #2 completed this morning. And I'm at work today... zzzzzz
  20. I got in with a last minute ride last night after everyone went to bed. This was harder than I was expecting it to be - it's not easy to find the time with a family and a regular job. But it is achievable! I like the challenge. It forced me to go out a few times when I otherwise wouldn't have.
  21. Not to mention tan lines... Sheesh, I look like a retard in shorts at work today after forgetting the suntan lotion for the One Tonner...
  22. I can provide a nice slow DC team then - more time on the road = more exposure for Sexy Socks
