zombie.zerg, count your blessings, it's much worse here in Gauteng. Just do a simple search on this site and see how they go at each other when there are congestion at races, baggy vs lycra, moaning about goodie bags, and the list goes on and on. Even at my local trail @ Groenkloof you get people like you mentioned, riding against the flow of the trail, littering, unfriendly etc. etc. Up here it's a "ME ME ME" mentality, or at least that is how I am experiencing it, BUT there are the friendly and helpful ones also. I have always heard of Tokai and would love to go ride there one day! I imagine it as something like this? (please correct me if I am wrong) http://www.pinkbike....tunes-2012.html

Guess there is no other place than KZN or the Cape where Enduro would work? Where on the plat highveld would you host an event like this?

Looks great! How is the crime? Was robbed at Elands krans a few years back while camping with my wife there - could have turned out much worse... After that I was always cautioned about the crime in the area. A bit skittish to visit that place again...

Not in Gauteng, I know, sucks for me as well. (also why you don't get AM bikes in this country - market is too big for XC and they cater for it only but that is another can of worms, so I will leave it there) So, I am now looking to do an event every odd month or so in another province (mainly KZN) making a weekend out of it. Did the Karkloof classic a while back and man, was I stoked!! Probably the best day on my bike (so far) & technical. Also need to take my bike to the Cape, I believe Tokai, Jonkershoek & those places are mtb heaven! The highveld is too 'plat' for what we are looking for.

Waiting for confirmation for our entry for the 'Descent' Will be our first stage race EVER and by looking at some of the comments here, I can hear only praises! Looking forward to this one!

Running RK's 2.2 front and back (UST), but not much grip for my riding. Will keep it on the back for now but looking for a tyre with more grip. Someone said the Mountain King's are not that grippy at the front, what alternative would you guys suggest at the front?

I just hope no trigger happy farmer will shoot the poor thing!
