Where in SA can you get mountain bike wear other than the usual? This weekend I went to a few cycle shops in the Pta area to check out what they have, . Lycra seems to top the list and some shops have got such a limited range of clothing & stock it's scary! I'm so gatvol of the limited range & choice we have in SA. Why is this? Cool. So I can remove the PowerLock on my 10 speed SRAM chain and install this one? Is it as easy as that? How do you remove them?

Had to ask the question on FB, since nobody on this forum seems to have done Berg and Bush before. Here is the reply with regards to packing:

I did, but as soon as I got those dreadful words so commonly known to our ears in South Africa "We don't have stock" I wanted to sh*t my pants!! Anyway, so I went onto CRC, saw the lid I was looking for + it was a limited offer price of R687. Ordered it straightaway & opt for DHL delivery (R199) because my previous 2 orders never came through royal mail. So in the end I was looking at R885 for a helmet and size & colour that I wanted and it was cheaper than buying local. Only after a few searches I came upon a thread here explaining duties & taxes etc, I didn't know about this until it was too late. So in the end I paid R1296 for helmet I could have gotten for R980 locally. Total sh*t experience

I just paid R411,62 Duty & VAT on a helmet bought from CRC for R687 (+ R199 for DHL shipping) Lesson learned, don't buy helmets from CRC if you think it is going to be a bargain.

...waiting 11 weeks now for my multi-tool sent through royal mail from CRC Local post office cannot track as there is no tracking number through this service. WTF am I supposed to do?

Has anyone done the Berg & Bush before?? From the lack of replies it looks like this will be a first for us all?! Well I guess you learn as you go along....

Still waiting for a multi-tool I ordered on 29 June 2012.....was shipped through Royal Mail and the post office cannot track anything cause there is no tracking number... I am still waiting for that slip in the post box to tell me to collect.... WTF!
