  2. Eastern Grey or Euro Colour?
  3. I dont mean to be rude, but If you cant secure such a small amount from a bank, then someone would need a full business plan to even bother reading this topic any further
  4. considering the cost of bicycles nowdays,I'm surprised a Cartrack type of device has not been invented for bicycles and added as an extra option on the numerous Cartrack type of companies peddling their services here in RSA. Considering there are a few alarm type bicycle locks on the market allready.
  5. Dear Sir, With reference to my previous application,I have now noted you are in Cape Town. In appreciation of the distances that would be incurred by me if my application is accepted, I would like to append a new photo of what I may look like upon arrival to your premises. I would also appreciate a promt reply as I will have to start pedalling asap. Kind Regards Faithful Hubber
  6. Dear Sir, Please refer to my post below Kind Regards Faithful Hubber

  8. and COD doesnt work as you could be picking up a box with a brand new cheap Game special worth R799 You cant open and inspect before paying your cash
  9. not on these
  10. SMS only ...check* imei # to 34622 can be done from any fone brand but the imei must be of the samsung fone If genuine... reply will be "genuine samsung" if fake... will be"cant be verified"
  11. so..what you say is that a normal ussd sms to the samdung servers with the imei, all cleared as ok?
  12. look, saw the CB on dstv, read a few pages,i cant read all 145 of them, but has anyone organised a demonstraion on the shops pavement?Toyi, toy'ing work well i believe.. I'd rather spend some money on rent-a-crowd and put them out of business quickly than waste time and more money on the wheels of beurocracy to start turning. If the bikes are fake, let them burn, because even if they advertised as fake, its illegal...now if they were named Ponchorellos instead, then theres no case is there?
  13. I'm curious if pure olive oil or canola oil will do any harm Anybody tried this? With a bit of garlic?
  14. Hey in oz they use moped type things, the postie is subcontracted,so he supplies his own bike, which guarantees he looks after it, and anyone hoping to get that job can dream on as theres a 6 year waiting list,go figure?worlds apart ey?
  15. Road rage, cycle rage, surf rage...its all the same...regardless whos at fault....if you strike first, physically or verbally, the law is pretty clear, the problem arises when and if it ever goes to court, without full video evidence, and 12mths minimum down the line, it's he did vs who did vs when did.
  16. Er,a retailer with a online shop or an online shop? an online shop doesnt need to keep stock...they just have to know what their suppliers have in stock and posts from the suppliers warehouse Aha! maybe thats why online shopping in RSA is so expensive..someone forgot to tell them this...or maybe they did but havent passed on the benefits entirely...yep thats it
  17. ja,i remember in Oz,there were cases every second day of either near misses or direct hits...so it a natural thing .. or maybe because in Oz cyclists seem to like to ride 5 abreast..LOL Now... i might cop a bit of flak for that exageration.. LOL But ...sure..if you ride in single file, whats the point of riding with ya mates and not talking..might as well ride eis out.. ja,right....
  18. if youre looking at between 5 and 7K for the splashes new use that as an offer on s/h bikes between 7 and 9K and youre geting a bike between 16 and 35K in in original value Way better deal... And now that theres even more 29" getting sold off s/h,the 26" prices are falling even further and next year theyre a year older etc etc But it could mean the xmas tree will be without a mtb under it
  19. ja,i'd go for a dual suspension s/h,mens or womens... if in doubt.get a hubber to meet you there and give it a going over,or even a link to the ad at the very least...its not all criminals out there selling things...
  20. i'd look for a ws bike in the classifieds here or gumtree, i've seen a few in the last month... i'm sure youd get more bang for your buck. unless you really want a brand new one under the xmas tree, then i say go for the splash 1 and haggle to get it at the splash 2 price.. hows that?
  21. I remember a case involving a small take away in Oz who opened his doors 30+ years ago when the town was a dorpie deluxe..and called it Hungry Jacks..his name was Jack fast foward to 200?(cant remember)..LOL.. Burger King trades as Hungry Jacks in QLD... but the rest of OZ(starting with 3 km down the road) and the world... they trade as Burger King They opened a shop close by and all hell broke out when they tried to sue him..they won...david and goliath battle Comparing the food...It was like comparing a maccas with a steers burger...no comparison...he won in media attention and growing his business as he couldnt keep up with the clientele increase...
  22. compulsory in oz,on any public road you need a helmet three strikes and can get costly...
  23. well better that than nothing... I'd rather know than dont know... its becoming like the motor industry... Where its so easy and lots of gullible people..... which brings me to another point in another post...what if you drove out the shop... down a hill ...and brakes fail ...and you injure a taxi driver?whos going to pay up? You?the shop owner?the mechanic? or the bloke whose parts have been mistakenly put on your bike?...LOL
  24. cruizing surfing pomping
