  1. Having read Cardinelli's article on Transformation in the latest SA Rugby Mag the numbers he presents and the case he argues has merit. Similarly this article by Keohane does drive home the crisis with SARU's inability to get Transformation happening in a realistic way. No drive to get the quantity to get the quality. Certianly not as things currently stand. Sent from my SM-J200H using Tapatalk

Sadly Steyn is only available for the fourth test. He would be a real boost to our bowling unit. Sent from my SM-J200H using Tapatalk

I do to a degree. I just think that a need to be bang on with the team bowling plans and 100% correct in the excution of the plans. That said if Steyn was match fit I would have him in the team. He remains a class act and would be highly motivated to get a win out of this series. I think Morkel is too but is unfortunately a different type of bowler to Rabada/Steyn and light of it the coaching team needs to be clear with him as to his role and responsibility within the attack. Morkel can lead, he showed it in India. And that's what we are going to need from him. And a Newlands test does generally see a very good to brilliant performance from Vern. Our bowlers have been holding their own and someone has been stepping up each dig so far. With Bavuma I kinda agree I still feel there's a need for him to work on his conversion rates (starts to 50's, 50's to 100's). However I felt that before his injury he had been in good nick and playing with confidence and was looking like a second test hundred was around the corner, which really would boost his confidence even more. And he's good when we're in a jam. De Bruyn has yet to convince me he is long term test prospect. Got the talent though. In general though I still feel that our batsmen need to make more of an impact in the series. AB being the exception. Wiaan Mulder has the potential to be the JK kind of allrounder but hasn't been tried yet and I don't think that the selectors would suddenly throw him into the deep end. Would love to see him get a run when we play a team like Sri Lanka. He is a real talent who could make the step up to International level. Sent from my SM-J200H using Tapatalk

So your team in batting order would be:Elgar, QdK, Markram, AB, FdP, Klaasen, Morris, Vern, Maharaj, Morkel & Ngidi? Not quite the team i'd have but I quite agree that our batting unit needs to come to the party far more than what they have. Generally never a good idea to have a non opener open the batting. Kuhn being a case in point. Also not convinced of two wicket keepers in the same eleven even if both are competent batsmen. And I'm not sure that I'd ever consider both QdK and Klaasen simply as a batsman alone for the exception of one day/T20 matches. Replace a specialist batsman with a specialist batsman. Bavuma for De Bruyn imho. Morkel for Rabada. My team would then be: Elgar, Markram, Hash, AB, FdP, Bavuma, QdK, Vern, Maharaj, Morkel, Ngidi. Sent from my SM-J200H using Tapatalk

A good win in the end despite the heavy weather our batsmen made of it. Sent from my SM-J200H using Tapatalk

You can be aggressive without getting yourself banned and unfortunately that is what KG needs to learn. And sooner rather than later too. Very true. Sent from my SM-J200H using Tapatalk
  7. Would not mind it either tbh. Classy guy and a good racer to boot. Sent from my SM-J200H using Tapatalk

That he does. Although I feel he's a bit hard done by as Smith made no attempt to move away. Smith guilty of incitement imho. Sent from my SM-J200H using Tapatalk

Hence the if in my post. I have not forgotten that this is a class attack that Aus has. However a good opening partnership will do wonders ito the confidence of the batting unit and should be beneficial for the remaining tests. Alden and Dean have time in hand so nothing wrong if they purposely use some of it to get their confidence up. And they are currently ticking over nicely. Hoping it continues. 101 to get. I am hoping we will get there with only the loss of two wickets. Dean and Aiden owe us a good start and with so much time left they can contrate on getting in and going and hopefully not getting out. Be nice if we could get a proper crushing win out of this match. We got to take advantage of the opening that KG has gotten us. If we could get them out for under 220 I'd be happy. I'll be delighted if we can get them out for under 200. The door is open for that! Sent from my SM-J200H using Tapatalk

  20. I actually like the guy and was happy when he joined Di Data. He is a fabulous sprinter and from his social media a decent guy too. That said, he is still a typical sprinter and the best do push and blur lines often and will get on people's nerves. Cav's nonchalant attitude only further emphasises the arrogance required to be a really really good sprinter. Sent from my SM-J200H using Tapatalk
  21. Cav is one of those personalities that people either love or hate. And to top it of he's a pom and a bit whingey at times too. An entertaining racer too.................... when he manages to keep the bike upright that is. Sent from my SM-J200H using Tapatalk
  22. Afaik No he isn't. He is tolerant of religious beliefs though if I take his comments concerning both Bakkies Botha and Brad Thorne at face value. Perhaps just the name of the Bike race he was a part of? Sent from my SM-J200H using Tapatalk
  23. Maybe the ladies are just being ahead of the curve and willing to trust the manufacturers? I actually can't see a good reason for the guys not too. Sent from my SM-J200H using Tapatalk
  24. Afaik he will only be doing the cobbled classics. Quite agree his signature has become very hot property. Wouldn't mind seeing him on Quick Step. Would be a good fit I think. Sent from my SM-J200H using Tapatalk
  25. Catch up to Van Aert and Bardet, pass them and stay away for the win. Easy peasy. Congrats to Benoot though that first win was a long time a coming but glad he's bagged it. Impressive race to bag as one's first win. Van Aert definitely a racer for the classics. Amazing ride from him today. Could be a huge threat at both RVV and PR. Sent from my SM-J200H using Tapatalk
