A really good article on our current selection problems/dilemmas. Injuries hasten South Africa's 'Vision 2019' plan http://es.pn/2nJdHoN via ESPNCricinfo app Sent from my SM-J200H using Tapatalk

That decision to take lunch was rather perplexing. Just get the game done with. Agree with concerning Markram. He has been groomed to take over the captaincy and this will be a hard one since he has been thrown into the deep end. He will learn though and it'll stand him in good stead for the rest of his career. As for the batting perhaps what is needed is a rejig of the line up. Markram and QdK opening, Amla, Zondo, Miller and then Duminy is how I think the top order should be. At least until AB gets back for the Pink game and we can get rid of Duminy. Zondo needs a proper run before we make any judgements on him. My 2c's fwiw. Sent from my SM-J200H using Tapatalk
  4. No but heard about it. Did watch the Wales v Scotland match and man that was an entertaining match. The Scots were under the pump the whole match as the Welsh just grew in confidence throughout. The Irish and the English might find that they won't be an easy win at all. Still think that they will be better than the Welsh but it'll be more of an even contest. True. No denying his class. Fantastic knock. So was Rahane's innings. If only we could've had a similar partnership. In the end maybe 50 to 70 runs light. Sent from my SM-J200H using Tapatalk

Actually they showed it on the pitch map on SS2 and it would've missed leg stump by a 5cm's I reckon. The ball turned far more than what QdK or the umpire might've thought. Sent from my SM-J200H using Tapatalk

What do you guys make of QdK just walking off when he was given out and not waiting to see if he should review it? Sent from my SM-J200H using Tapatalk

It was a pitch where one lost one wicket it often lead to clutch of wickets. After Rahane's knock yesterday it was India's match to lose. And in all fairness after the diabolical pitch was made under our instructions so it seems karmicly fair that we should end up losing the match. Sent from my SM-J200H using Tapatalk

Rahane currently scoring freely. Pitch getting is either easing up or a more positive approach is yielding results. A target >200 on the cards. Sent from my SM-J200H using Tapatalk

You mean like Zoompie resigning? I think the reality is that this pitch will very fairly get a poor rating from the ICC and the next match against Aus will be under much scrutiny. As for Faf nothing in the laws or the spirit of the game will allow for him to declare in the final innings. We will have to bat that IS absolutely guaranteed. However we don't have to make an effort to score the runs we get set as an target. Is this in the spirit of the game? Personally for me no. I'd like for us to go for the win. Could we perhaps get over aggressive and lose wickets cheaply? That I certainly wouldn't be against and it would, imho, be within the spirit of the game. As would admitting post match that this was indeed a poor pitch and that we let revenge get in the way of allowing for a fair contest. A bad pitch is one thing, one where the match was almost called off is another. This should absolutely never happen again. Sent from my SM-J200H using Tapatalk

Nope it'll go onto our respective records as a draw with an asterisk to indicate that the match was abandoned due to unsafe playing conditions. The host venue and host nation will receive hefty fines and a warning that could result in a ban if their is another incident within a specified timeframe. Sent from my SM-J200H using Tapatalk

But plenty of bruises for both # and Pujara. That sharp rising ball into the body hard to negotiate at times. Again, one bloody tough pitch to bat on. Sent from my SM-J200H using Tapatalk

Here's to hoping Philander and Phehlukwayo can get us a lead. 20 to 30 will do. Just enough to build pressure. Sent from my SM-J200H using Tapatalk

Ja that uneven bounce may just be the deciding factor in this match. And I wouldn't consider it unfair if the BCCI queries the ICC on the rating of this pitch. Not sure I'd call it a cricket wicket. Sent from my SM-J200H using Tapatalk

Probably better than Kumar's since he was facing the new ball. # wonderful batter. Hoping Philander and Phehlukwayo can stick with him for long enough for us to get a decent lead. This pitch damned difficult to bat on and any lead could be crucial. Sent from my SM-J200H using Tapatalk

We badly need a partnership of 50 or more. Somebody needs to stay with # or we'll wind up behind the 8 ball. Sent from my SM-J200H using Tapatalk
