  1. Who knows it could still happen. Sport is funny that way.
  2. Cycling News' top ten to watch on Sunday. http://www.cyclingnews.com/features/10-riders-to-watch-at-the-2019-tour-of-flanders/ Some interesting names on this list. Not least that of Bling. He's a really good rider in good form at the moment. Would be surprised if he were to win but it would be a fantastic result for him given how his season has been. Still hoping for a Belgian to win it with Oli Neasen being my preferred choice.
  3. Wouldn't mind seeing either of Oli or Yves winning RVV. Especially since both are Belgians and come across as terrific people as well. Wouldn't mind seeing any of the top Belgians taking part in the race winning it tbh. Other than a winner from the Belgian contingent I wouldn't mind either one of Sagan or Stybar winning. Indeed but also lots of class and talent too in Dale's picks.
  4. Sadly it's the DiData story for the year so far. Hard to know why they aren't doing that. And it's possible, but somewhat unrealistic, that the guys are still sick hence the DNF's but still it should be possible for one of them to get into the break. Also wondering about what role exactly Ben King plays in the squad? Is he there to help Meintjies in the Grand Tours or should we be expecting him to make an appearance in the Ardennes teams.
  5. Mine would be a simple one: get into the break. Or if Gibbons is racing try and get him in a position to challenge for a win.
  6. They also probably could do with a few more Gibbons's as well. But ja a turn around in fortunes is definitely needed sooner than later. Also agreed on De Bod. Will be interesting to see how he goes at WT level.
  7. Despite some of them actually being rather quite likable. That incident with Keisje was handled badly and it does send out the wrong message doesn't it. Maybe time Lefevere handed over the media duties to someone a bit more savvy and diplomatic than himself.
  8. DiData's bad form has even been noticed and commented on by CN. Hard to think that such a talented group could be struggling so much. We can only but speculate as to the why this is so. Personally I hope that they can find a solution for it before it hurts everyone's reputation. That said I quite agree with their other conclusions as well. http://www.cyclingnews.com/features/8-conclusions-from-gent-wevelgem/ So far so good for this year's classics. The racing has been excellent!
  9. Ain't he being referred to as a 'all rounder' these days? Not that it matters that much. Sent from my SM-J250F using Tapatalk

If you go by the recent squads for the various ODI series played of late I am inclined to agree with you regarding the composition. How far we go with that squad in the tournament will be interesting to follow. My personal prediction is either out after the first round or our usual loss in the semi finals. Watching today's ODI against SL and having to listen to the R2000 broadcast. R2000 seems to have gone to some lengths to get better commentators for this season and in Omphile Ramela and Mignon du Preez they have managed to get two useful one's. Both have made good comments and generally talk common sense. So a bit of improvement on R2000's side. Lets hope that the Proteas follow suit with this ODI series and that they don't blow their current good position! Sent from my SM-J250F using Tapatalk
  12. Agreed. That Sagan attack was from long range so I think there might've been a few who thought he might run out of steam. Got shown up badly for thinking that way. Stybar isn't exactly a lesser known rider but hasn't fully lived up to the talent his CX palmares shows he has. Hoping this will be a break out season for him ito wins. 13. Got aided a little by the infighting between Van Avermaet and Lutsenko. Still a classy ride from Zbar though and a good win! So nice to see him back on the top step! Sent from my SM-J250F using Tapatalk

Seems to be a bit of both bru. The Lankans have bowled well in patches and in general I feel that they are deservedly ahead at this stage. That said it seems that QdK has gotten some support from KG and they're getting a rearguard action going. Sent from my SM-J250F using Tapatalk

Very interesting article on Cricinfo regarding Perera's match winning hundred. http://www.espncricinfo.com/story/_/id/26035478/anantha-narayanan-why-kusal-perera-153*-best-test-innings-ever Gives a bit of perspective to what happened in that fourth innings. Sent from my SM-J250F using Tapatalk

Noted but while St George's does spin a fair deal for a South African pitch I don't think it spins as much as Galle does. St George's is slow and low but doesn't quite spin from day one as Galle might but point well taken regarding spin friendliness. Still it is going to be tough proposition for us to win and square the series.

We are playing the Sri Lankans on pitches that certainly are bit friendlier than what most of our pitches would be. Not sure I would liken St George's to Galle though but I think the Sri Lankans wouldn't mind it much. We will have our work cut out in order to win the upcoming test and squaring the series. Here's to hoping our batsmen can find the will to fire and fire properly!

Vernon was playing but not on the field due to an injury of some sort. Personally I don't think that this had anything to do with our BMT but everything to do with a player who desperately wanted to pull off a win and was willing to chance his arm doing so. Did we miss a trick or two in the field? Quite possibly but take nothing away from how in control of the match Perera had become and that he could've come up with a counter for what we were doing. Perera played one of the all time great innings and I rate as good as any innings I've seen from any of the world's best batsmen. What annoys me is the way batted across both innings especially considering how long our tail was. Collectively our batsmen need to take ownership of their failures in this match and rectify it at St George's. Perhaps a shuffle in the line up will help, perhaps bringing in guys like Mulder, P Malan and/or Moore (Warriors Opening bat) will shake things up. Our batting needs attention and it needs to get fixed post haste.
  20. Not sure I agree with you regarding the Stormers.................................. But let's see.
  21. If we play like this against Kiwi opposition we will be taking regular 50 point hidings. Bulls on the other hand might actually win a few games off of Kiwi teams!
  22. ESPN Scrum's stats make for very interesting reading especially if you ignore the possession and territory stats. Bulls completely outplayed us and fully deserve their win. Not a pretty sight for us Stormers fans but the Bulls played incredibly well and I genuinely hope that they keep it up over the whole of the season. http://africa.espn.com/rugby/matchstats?gameId=294266&league=242041
  23. Getting smoked is putting it mildly. Enjoying the quality of the rugby from the Bulls not enjoying this pathetic display from the Stormers. We are getting smashed!

Calm, cool, collected and aggressive when he needed to be. Managed his innings very well. Also apparently the highest score by a Sri Lankan batsmen in SA. That's incredible given the talented batsmen that's toured here with them in the past. It was exceptional and it showed our batsmen up. Faf also admitted as much. Agreed about the tactics to Fernando but overall I think the way we batted across both innings was very disappointing and possibly the biggest reason that we lost ito our own performance. That said Sri Lanka showed tremendous fight and guts and tried their hearts out and deserved to win this against the odds. Kudos to them, they did a Windies away from home.

One of the best knocks I have seen in a long while. Also big kudos to Vishwa Fernando for hanging around and allowing Perera the freedom to bat as he did!
