We did an 11km jaunt round thaba this wkd. One thing about thaba is it finishes with 2 stiff little climbs for a 6 yr old. He makes it up both most times but only with lots of encouragement. But then 243m ascent is a fair amount in 11km coupled with a fairly rocky terrain . He loves the sweet (fruit pastille) breaks ???? and milkshakes after.
Both there current bikes have suspension forks on. The little 16 munga is a quite a decent little bike. But as BR said the ss makes them suffer on the climbs . I do like the momsens . Any idea of cost for a 20 & 24” ?
Am thinking of getting my daughter a 24 and respraying his sisters 20 inch . I am not sure he is quite tall enough to touch the ground just yet but he can ride it. He’s only 6 and not a tall 6 at that. Might just give it a try in the next few weeks Chris & see how he handles it.
7km ride with the wee Bens,followed by a well deserved ice cream & cool drink. Got to get my son a bigger bike ,those little 16” wheels get hooked up on every rock. He must of fell 6 times at least ???? And still wanted more .
Trailer park & I had an evil mud fest at thaba.....hot,humid and energy sapping. 30km with 788 m of ascent in the mud will do that. The coffee & milkshake was very welcome at the end. Epic fun. #ilovethabaeveninthemud
Damn now I am itching...Craig sent me a pic of your bike when I asked him for white & yellow stickers. Have also asked for white mrp stickers for the fork as well. Hopefully will be delivered before Friday .
