Strange my Garmin time vs my racetech time has a diffrence of nearly 1m 10 seconds and I still started it before the timing mates. Luckily it still gives me an official time of 2h59m09sec .... Eeekkkk that was close . But good enough for me either way ???????? I couldn't of gone any faster,left nothing out there. And finished in top third of my group which is very cool.

yea ppl walking up the centre and just pushing in....if I can get up a stupid ridiculous time anybody can ! I just chillaxed and enjoyed the day, Hopefully I passed a few ????????

dude you a machine ????.... I did see someone on a mnt bike for a while around the Jan smuts and motorway area. And thought to myself damn this guy is proper strong. He had to pedal on all the downs just to hang on. Kudo's to the guys doing that on a mnt bike at pace in the fast groups ????

was a tough race for sure. Lots of climbing,and very fast downhill didn't seem to leave much time for recovery . Started from e more than half way back and the first climb with cold legs burnt proper. Kyalami was awesome apart from one idiot nearly who nearly did a " patch spectator sport move " think he k@ked himself . A fast group from f came past me going up woodmead and hung on to them untill just before the ridiculous u turn on the motorway . Then realized I was going to burn to many matches. And there was a lil kid in there ( maybe 15/16yrs old????) Slowly made my way through the our group ...the steyn city climb was horrid and the worst climb for me. Got in side my target ,But had to dig deep at the end. For such a massive event . So well run. I applaud those that organize a race of this scale and get it so right. Gerald must of been giving them lessons ????????????????

also Alberton & 06h30 start...holy cr@p what ?:30 to get there on time. Think I'll go with spirog's advice....camping not so bad is it ????

Which way round are we going to be Riding the track? I presume we are riding on the track itself ? Where will we enter and exit. Not like there lots of space in the roads around kyalami.

have tried fit ,assos and a few others. Ass magic is the only chamois cream I use. Just not the easiest to get a hold of. Both my locals don't stock it . Edit: think thaba trails sell it now.

Love my synapse such a comfortable road bike. Soaks up vibration brilliantly . Scalpel is so fast it's ridiculous ????....not used to 100mm travel bikes . where can I get enve wheel decals?

Went for a proper test on the new ride today....size is mmmm very close ???? but did a 83km test ride. Damn such a capable bike. Never ridden such a lightweight, pedal efficient bike before. And it got proper warm at the end.

my kids think it's brilliant they have the same medal as me. I didn't take a medal on Saturday but wife & kids did. I don't really look at the medal anyway ,cool,to get one but not the bee all and end all. As long as the kids get !

Your family fun & kiddies mnt bike ride on the Saturday is by far the best value kids/family ride out there. Having been searching for more and your entry fee for that is generally 1/2 of a few others I have found. I know it's not a big part of the wkd for you guys but for my kids it was a massive boost to them wanting to ride more and asking my wife & I when's the next one? And that's heartening that they want to get up early and go ride there bikes. Really guys you need to get your kids there next year. It's a great starter . As for the main race,I have no complaints at all. Everything ran like clockwork.
