true that ,those guys from D caught up early. But I got dropped for the front of CL at about 50km's ... Those fast not steep enough climbs just kill me,especially with the wind in your face. To the guy from Al with his lady friend and a few cl riders that kept the 2nd group of us going Kudo's lad's. To those that sat there till we turned the cnr...whatever ???? And to Gerald and his team. Easy access when you arrive ,easy to leave,great marshaling ,plenty police ,road closure. Everything went like clockwork . Awesome event all the man hours paid of for sure. You guys are legends ???????????????? Just a side note : pse can we order no wind next year ????

That's the toughest 12km's I have done getting my son to the end. His little legs were knackered at about 8km. Well proud of him as he has only just turned 4 and he was the smallest kid there by far.And my daughter who bailed and pretended she was ok and got on with it ????????????. Good to meet you Gerald and thanks to you and your crew for the awesome family morning out. My kids are so proud that they earned there own medal. Brilliant value and completely rideable course for youngsters . Very cool morning ????

i was thinking along similar lines as you 3h10- but if we have a good train the magic no might appear. But I can kinda climb it's the long fast flights i suffer on.

I see there quite a few hubbers in E & F . Is anyone interested in trying to get a small group together from those batches and aiming for a realistic time? If there's enough of us we wouldn't necessarily have to worry about the other guys & gals in our group if we get dropped from them . Just a thought not much time left,but would rather have some allies than foe's trying to drop me. Edit: even D & E & F ? I suppose all defendant on who wants what for the race....time wise that is . Quick jaunt around thaba this morning. Best way to start the week. Thaba never gets easier,ever. If you push,it will make 24km seem pretty long. But it's awesome for training.

Kudo's for doing it Alan,most would of given up or not bothered. Don't underestimate how difficult some parts of thaba are. It's hurts when you fall on rocks hence why most stay away from it.

I just wish the very last part of that section hadn't been changed . Bombing down that gulley mostly out of control on those loose stones was Flippin brilliant. Gulley.MOV

Oh and following the white dots on the rock face is definitely the easy (easiest ????) way down even if it's looks like it's not .
