  1. Despite all the 'XT' written in that blurb...It's still a Merida *ducks*
  2. Personally I would avoid Giant as their 29ers are known for having quite long chainstays which can give the bike a sluggish response, so I would compare those on whatever bikes I was looking at, along with components. Depends what you are wanting to use your bike for too, I guess. I have a Scott Spark 920 which I love.
  3. Agreed - short but oh so sweet. Nice to ride Hoogekraal and Contermans in one go.
  4. Sounds more painful than riding in Franschhoek? I am undecided....sand is not my idea of an enjoyable ride.
  5. Hi I am keen, riding after work is not always easy as I work in town and getting to Durbanville is not easy but weekends I can do. Inbox me your number? Am planning to ride after work this week - possibly tomorrow around 5,45/6pm.
  6. Why no insurance??? Esp on a Bianchi! Silly. Sorry to hear of these ordeals.
  7. It also never gets cheaper!!!
  8. we discussed these tyres on a group ride with Paarl MTB yesterday and I was advised to get the Rocket Rons with snakeskin as their sidewalls are better. Googled it now and seems to be the case. http://www.competitivecyclist.com/schwalbe-rocket-ron-snakeskin-tl-26in
