I have Ikon front and back. Not to heavy and my rear tire done 4000km and I think I can get another 500km out of it. About 300km was done on tar. Puncture protection is very good. The grip in the wet might be a problem.
I have pick between the 100 miler and the gravel travel 65km. I have not done any of them, so I need input from hubbers who had done both. Fitness is not a problem. I know thr GT is more technical than the 100 miler. What would you choose and why Thanks
When my wife was still cycling I put here through a short mechanical course. Every evening when she watched tv she had to take out a wheel from the bike take out the tube and put it back. Later she did it in under 5 minutes. When she got a flat on the road she was able to fix it herself. When she was out training I knew she was ok.

that is our training hills. That last 100m of gifberg really hurt your legs. On the other side of gifberg there is ouberg pass. It is also a little killer.
Hijack. Julle wat Campy ry kan my dalk help. My vriend wil sy 2008 campy record 10 spoed groupset verkoop. Hy het gese ek moet hom n aanbod maak. Die groupset sluit in shifters rd en fd, cluster en ketting die remme is swart record titanium. Ek vat nie die crank nie, want dit is bb30 en ek kan dit nie gebruik nie. Die Rd en Fd het al carbon insetsels. Die groupset is in n baie goei toestand sonder merke. Wat dink julle moet n mens betaal vir die groupset. Dankie
I had enough food to get me through, but my dad got bored in the starting pin and ate his banana and jungle bar before he started! He only had gels to get him through, but if you ride for 5 hours you need real food.

He is 64 and did his first Argus this year. We did it in 5.39. This was more special than any sub 3. This was also the first time I stopped at water points. Do they have food at these points or just drinks? There was nothing to eat when we got there.
I broke 3 eggbeaters sets, all broke on the same place, but I wont use anything else. I only changed from eggbeater 2 to 1, because they cost less and do not last any longer.

Ek het eenkeer met n ou broek gery en toe ons stop by die Wimpy vir koffie het die lycra besluit dit is nou genoeg en mooi op die naat oogetrek. Die probleem was dat ek dit eers gesien het toe ek halfpad in die Wimpy was en die skeur was ook nie agter nie, maar aan die voorkant!
