Try the gravel road to Loeriesfontein. Go past Calvinia hospital and keep straight for 2 km on tar. From there it is about 65km gravel to Loeriesfontein.
I have a Assos uno and mille, First ascent endurance and revolotion and Santini Max core. For comfort, noting beats the mille, but the Santini range is just as nice and much cheaper. First Ascent is ok until your first 100km in a ASSOS. I only use my first ascent for short 40-50km rides. The Santini is the best value for money
