  1. Hi, I am buildingup a road wheel and need some expert advice on what a good hub one can use for a deep section wheel. I think the criteria should be based on cost, part availability, service agent backup and maybe there are a few more that you can alert me of. I mentioned Novatec and Powerway but if there are any other good, reputable, relaible hubs that i need to be made aware of then please provide detail on these. I was looking a the superlight Novatec hub vs the R13 Powerway models.i know there are different models in these respective brands.Once again i request guidance and recomendations from the experienced cyclists out there. I hope you guys can oblige....
  2. Thanks guys, i think i got it covered unless there is some other chain that is on the market that i am not aware of....
  3. Cippo, i read whats on the site and it gave me the answers to the questions i had,,, thanks!
  4. A Tiagra chain , hmmm maybe but not likely....it will save me money though!
  5. Thanks for the feedback, there is not much of a price difference compared with DA chain and i assume the gold edtion is more expensive as well. Do you know o this compares with the DA chain on weight etc?
  6. Hi, I ride a road bike with DA 7900 GS, it is time to change the chain before it wears my cassette. Besides the cost factor what other chain would be more sutiable as a repalcement for a DA 7900 chain? Your input will be appreciated. Feel free to request any further info.
  7. The team is in. It should be fun out in the sun,
  8. To my homeboy Ebrahiem Salie and partner from Austarlia. All the best in conquering the route, do your best time ever and have a safe journey in the process. Enjoy....
  9. Snow_beast do this via pm pls.
  10. My concern is why the insurance did not originally pay out? It sounds ridiculous that it was because you never had a picture of yourself on the bike. Let me know which insurance company this is because I would hate to advise clients of mine to insure bicycles with a company that has that as an exclusion?
  11. Eish Cassie you are late on the shame part already....look at the previous posts first. Lets add value to the conversation and not merely placing a comment for the sake of placing an empty comment. i hope you understand that this is matter that we need to deal with on a collective basis and not on individual finger pointing.
  12. yeh, confused as hell, Shoo this pic sums it all up!
  13. Point taken, let us all know what the speedy outcome was after your meeting. Looking forward to the resolution to all the issues and emotions that flew around today.
  14. you certainly made me see the light on this one, i get so caught up in all the noise and i always need someone to pint me in the right direction. thanks man, appreciate it. I now see it starts with my house first the spotlight on the bigger pciture willl follow...on another form maybe. Anyway, thanks again, really appreciate the insight.
  15. Eish, man I have no more words left for you, I finally concede i lost the original plot and now it is heading down a slippery slope in an entire different direction. Thanks brogue you sure know how to bring out the silliness in me. end of thread from me to you and those who like what you say.
  16. I humbly accept you opinion but the principle remains lets address the bigger picture together,
  17. i agree as an independent and this principle many fail to understand.
  18. I think I did face up to it already and it starts with us on this forum. Thanks and enjoy your day.
  19. Ok point taken abusive Brogue. it goes without saying we need to deal with the issue across the board. Let the outcome follow soon rather than later. Lets be happy for a change.
  20. I concede, I have been caught out. The matter will be dealt with swiftly, the moment he meets with the exec.
  21. Hi PhillipV, thank you for the instant comment and I now understand why he said that. Thanks for clearing it up for me. Sometimes it takes a while for me to absorb some of the rhetoric that floats around but eventually i will receive the message. Eish, yes I am ashamed, ashamed of all all the poor riding etiquette from top to bottom and emotive responses that went around in this forum. I am ashamed the majority on this forum is not seeing this as a common problem that faces us all whether you belong to a club or not and finally I would be ashamed of making similar comments. Stay positive bra!
  22. I think it is alleged hooligan behaviour and i think we ALL would do well with learning good road ettiquette. Fair is fair....
  23. I agree and concur. The only way to solve this problem is to having all sides heard and then it is up to to the exec of the Team to take action based on the merits of the case. The issue that is being raised here is a common problem whether you belong to a club or not. Somehow we cannot separate this and see it as one problem.
  24. Interesting comment that you made, knowing the club receives fund from PPA? Please explain how you know this and what relevance this has to resolve your sensitive issue you faced? I think there maybe more to this than the complaint itself and I am happy that you will be meeting with the exec because then they can deal with all the issues directly to everyone's satisfaction.
