  1. Ok point taken abusive Brogue. it goes without saying we need to deal with the issue across the board. Let the outcome follow soon rather than later. Lets be happy for a change.
  2. I concede, I have been caught out. The matter will be dealt with swiftly, the moment he meets with the exec.
  3. Hi PhillipV, thank you for the instant comment and I now understand why he said that. Thanks for clearing it up for me. Sometimes it takes a while for me to absorb some of the rhetoric that floats around but eventually i will receive the message. Eish, yes I am ashamed, ashamed of all all the poor riding etiquette from top to bottom and emotive responses that went around in this forum. I am ashamed the majority on this forum is not seeing this as a common problem that faces us all whether you belong to a club or not and finally I would be ashamed of making similar comments. Stay positive bra!
  4. I think it is alleged hooligan behaviour and i think we ALL would do well with learning good road ettiquette. Fair is fair....
  5. I agree and concur. The only way to solve this problem is to having all sides heard and then it is up to to the exec of the Team to take action based on the merits of the case. The issue that is being raised here is a common problem whether you belong to a club or not. Somehow we cannot separate this and see it as one problem.
  6. Interesting comment that you made, knowing the club receives fund from PPA? Please explain how you know this and what relevance this has to resolve your sensitive issue you faced? I think there maybe more to this than the complaint itself and I am happy that you will be meeting with the exec because then they can deal with all the issues directly to everyone's satisfaction.
  7. Do you feel I am being bullied, does it make you feel good to think i am being bullied? Again this type of emotional state with the type of words being used to bully others is not serving anyone, all it does is highlights the state of mind of the author (and the one who finds joy in liking it). Lets rather become unabusive in the response we offer, it will serve everyone better. Makes one think a bit more clearly, don't you think so?
  8. Eish, how silly we can be sometimes, again, all I am providing is an alternative communication channel Witkop, nothing else, Dont be so sensitive like the others that agree with you. When are we going to learn to take the emotion out of the convesation. Ag nee man we might just become ill from all this excitement. Enjoy your day, no excuses just a pleasure getting a debate started.
  9. That was merely an example of a time period to respond to and I think they have the right to investigate first. I know life is a challenge on its own and we feel we need instant gratification, hopefully you will have your issue addressed the sooner the better for everyone.
  10. You have the right to do it in which ever order you feel befiiting and the outcome will be the proof of your efforts. I merely provided an alternative to others who may have similar issues on a sensitive issue of riding etiquette. There will always be current or past members who are disgruntled with the club they belong to but that is a separate debate altogether and the merits of each case can be dealt with on its own. We must confus the different issues and I am not defending anyone in this regard but merely highlighting the need to seek alternative communication channels that does not judge/reflect poorly on the entire club because of a handful of club riders who could on another day, not have belonged to any club for that matter. I hope this explains my approach a little bit better.
  11. Hi there, Just a thought, what I would have done was first to report it to the race organisers, then together or singularly, lay a complaint with the club chairman or executive committee members; await for a response (1 week from date of email complaint) and depending on whether you are satisfied with the outcome or not, only then decide to post it on a forum of his nature. In this way no one can question motives and the matter hopefully would then be satisfactorily resolved, All that what has happened now is a general negative view being adopted of the entire club and its members and in future any member that is identified belonging to the club will be "frowned" upon at events. I think this is unfair because as an an unknown victim you would want fair retribution of some sort yet the current approach adopted produced the opposite result adding fuel to the fire based on the current comments already received thus far. I hope I have not stirred up further emotions and set the tone for some solid debate arround race riding etiquette in general. Please accept my thoughts as an option on how to deal with similar issues of this nature and accept my apology if i unintentionally offended anyone in the process. Happy Monday All!

  17. This is of course volume based, the more subscribers the less the cost to cover the IP. I think this should be tagged with all major insurers out there, this will definitley drive the cost done as an option to select when one wants to insure one's bike. I will definitley not survive on tis own, requires the geographical backing and footprint of major insurers across the country to adopt it as as ecurity measure. In this way their costs will also be reduced, a win-win situation for the market as a whole.
  18. There is Auto and General, Santam and Momentum Short term insurers. It depends if it si bike only then you need to go the Cyclesure route, but I had no problems with any claims for any of these insurers for clients of mine. PM me if you want me to send you an app?
