  1. All the best to DC teams out there. A shout-out to Team Pitstop, looking for a 10 man finish.
  2. Beautiful and thank you for sharing! The shared experience makes one want to become part of this event. Unfortunately there are financial challenges to justify participaiting because there are other priorities in life. I do however believe if you are able to then why not make that sacrifice...in the end as your story unfolds...it is.well worth it. The only missing part is the deep emotion you guys felt finishing challenging stages and the big moment at the end of it all. The pain and emotional drain at times must have been taxing but one thing is clear, both of you thoroughly enjoyed.it. All the best and best wishes to participating in more future events...God willing!
  3. Was going to recommend CBR based on my own experience 4 years ago but the experience you had may require some homework. Hopefully you had your frame resprayed at no additional cost once you returned it to CBR.
  4. Who is who in the pic? Introduce the sub 3 savages!????
  5. Thanks this is extremely helpful and there are plenty options to consider. The link below may assist as well. http://bikecalc-staging.herokuapp.com/speed_at_cadence
  6. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002119340457.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.0.0.7f5c605d7nSv2v&algo_pvid=9e0aa048-be9d-495d-aeb5-030fcf769d3e&algo_exp_id=9e0aa048-be9d-495d-aeb5-030fcf769d3e-2&pdp_ext_f={"sku_id"%3A"12000023351108013"} that is cheap...
  7. Rapide version at R219 is not a bad price at all.....Alieexpress is a roll of he dice with regards to quality.
  8. So this extender unit is usable/adaptable on any GS e.g 8,9,10 speed? Definitely will use it on wife's bike...the one she seldom rides????. It may encourage her to ride more often.
  9. Thank you will explore this avenue. That is a spinning setup you got there.
  10. Thank you, i guess you answered some of my concerns in previous posts. Will do a bit more research. I am looking to learn from anyone who may have gone through this exercise already.
  11. Yes a worthwhile option to consider but not sure if the jump from 52 to a 36 may create problems. I suspect that I will need to change the big blade as well... basically change over to a compact crank.
  12. Thank you. I am aware of Shimano 10 speed option but will that not work with the current DA derailleur? I am thinking of a change and toying with all possibilities at this stage. Cost versus benefit.
  13. Like the saying goes...no pain no gain! Glad you finished.
  14. Hi, Not sure if that is the correct way to title the request for ideas/expert advice on how to improve on a 10 speed DA7900 GS or specifically drive train (52/39 crank) and I am not sure if this topic was previously addressed? I am thinking of changing my current 10 speed cog from 11/28 to a 11/32 or if a 10 speed 11/30 exists then that would be a preference. Would that mean a compact crank and smaller chain rings are required? Does a road10 speed 11/32 cog exist? OR Is there a 11 speed conversion at all possible without changing anything else besides the drive train? Criteria for either setup is that it should be light and durable. Don't mind a mix brand of components but it must be compatible and speak to a lesser weight than my current setup. Are these at all possible and feasible? Any part make recommendations based on this criteria for each option? Don't mind after market parts such a ZTTO 11-32 at 216g as an example. For interest sake, the OMNI Racer 11-28 Titanium Cassette weighs in at 118g but price....? I don't have any issues with current setup...just wanting to try something new versus upgrading the entire GS or buy a complete new bike. Please share your thoughts.

    Hot Foot

Well then maybe some adjustment is required or the signs were there from the start already and you ignored it, thinking you needed to ride the shoe in first...????‍♂️

    Hot Foot

The make and model shoe is not meant for your foot...it may look cool but it aint serving its purpose. It is that simple....no amount of adjustment, inserts, or "foot fittings"is going to help in this instance. They may provide some insight to the "unique feet" you may have but it will cost you more in the end.
  17. I think if the OP can update us on final cost, then at least we can work out what that percentage increase it is since the R1700 amount mentioned.
  18. Hi, send this or personally book it in at Garmin in Rosebank (JHBG) and they will upgrade you to the next model up. A small balance is what you will pay. You will be better off than spending money on a new battery.
  19. I received a warning from Avast but it allowed me in. The website appears as https://evobikes.co.za/ Is there any feedback from Naas on this issue?
  20. yes that's how i read it as well. either way you will pay the R250 for the RAT
  21. Where did you extract this one from? rest of us...who are you talking about and where have you seen costs escalate?
  22. Because CT marathon paying for the tests if u not vaccinated.
  23. Who said I am not vaccinated?????
