Not to distract from your fall....but sidi uses prit to glue on there soles..I have had 3 pairs and had to re glue them monthly.

ITS BEEN DRY FOR A WEEK AND THE COURSE LOOKS GREAT, WE WILL START OUR BEST IN COUNTRY MARKING TOMORROW . IT'S GOING TO BE A GREAT EVENT , CANT WAIT TO SEE YOU ALL SOON. CM

JUST BEEN UP ON THE MOUNTAIN CUTTING THE LAST TRAILS, HARD WORK. ITS AMAZING HOW PLANTS GROW WHEN GOD WATERS THEM. AND THERE HAS BEEN A FAIR BIT OF WATERING IN THE EASTERN CAPE LATELY. I COUNTED 11 GUSHING WATERFALLS ON THE DAY 3 ROUTE WE RODE YESTERDAY, THE HOGSBACK IS AT ITS ABSOLUTE MOST BEAUTIFUL. CANT WAIT TO SHOW ALL YOU LUCKY ONES COMING TO RIDE ..IT IS GODS COUNTRY !! Sad news that she has to move to MTB in this way, as she is one of our best cyclists. MTB will be the winners and at least TEAM STANDER wil be able to use their wedding present and ride the 2013 LORD OF THE CHAINRINGS in hogsback. GOOD LUCK CHERISE !! C M

We have had a few requests from riders with no friends to ride the race as singles . We will consider taking theese entries , but there wont be any prizes or official catagory for single riders. We will assist them to hook up with new mates for the next year

I LOVE DOING THE COURSE FOR THIS RACE !! I try changing the course every year , and so far its been easy ...... there is just so much riding in this area . So im out riding stage 2 onthe weekend , trying to link up to the amatola basin i discover a sweet 3km single track running along the river built by my friends the nguni cattle . STIHL have to clean it a bit . The riders are going to love it ! A word of warning again , Hogsback is not flat . Do your hill training . Will keep you updated , CM

So the sun has turned and on its way back south, days getting longer and east cape winters feeling like summer. I have been hard at work sorting the routes for 2012 race....its gonna be great. Some favourite sections mixed up in 3 great days of riding. Trying to make it more ridable but no less challanging. ONLY REAL MOUNTAIN BIKING- no preservatives Think still limited entries left ... so do yourself a favour enter asap before entries run out

WE HAVE EVEN INCLUDED SOME FLATS AND ROADIE TYPE RIDING FOR THE BIG BLADERS. NOW JUST FINAL CHOPPING AND MARKING . THEN WE WILL BE READY TO FLY. rode 2nd part of day 2 today and i am still amazed with what i find riding in areas i thought i knew.....very excited you are in for a treat [ elandberg and hog 2 and 3 , just more ridable than 2010. just another warning , dont neglect your hill training.!!!!! CM
